Quiet place but felt misled
It was a great location being in Lihue. The grounds were very quiet, which I appreciated. There was a strong smell of mildew that gave me a headache the first few days of the stay until I adjusted. I suspect the AC units need a good cleaning. It's a good thing we didn't spend much time in the unit. The unit also needs a good deep cleaning. Seeing the layer of dust on the light fixtures above the kitchen countertop gave me the ick. I appreciated having the beach chairs, but wish the cooler was a little bigger. The washer and dryer are very small, and we had to run the dryer twice for each load to get items dry all the way. For the money, We came across a total of 3 cockroaches in the unit throughout our stay. They were immobilized but still alive, so I assume they are being treated for. We also came across a very large wolf spider that was very much alive. We felt like the photos were misleading and that the unit would be in better condition based on the photos in the listing. We will stay elsewhere next time. The staff were very nice, and it was comforting to see the security guy making himself visible all hours of the day.

The water heater is worn out. The couches and beds were old. Turning off air conditioning every time we left was a pain. It was hot and musty smelling every time we returned. Mold issues in the bathrooms. Sliding door didn’t lock and had to call maintenance.

Great location to many popular and good restaurants. Close to the airport. Our unit was perfect for a family of 6. Having TWO bathrooms is such a luxury! The a/c worked well. We utilized the washer/dryer. Great size bathrooms with large countertops. The beds were extremely comfortable. Kitchen was completely functional. The pool was huge and the temperature just right! We would definitely stay here again!!!

13 family members stayed in Lihue and had a wonderful experience. Time spent at the many beaches on the island, shopping, tubing, fishing, sight seeing, hiking, visiting and eating together. Wonderful accommodations and friendly helpful people. Would love to come again.

Great Stay in Lihue
We loved this place! We were a party of two couples and it was a perfect amount of space for us. The location is within walking distance of a beach, restaurants and convenience stores. Groceries are a short drive away. The pool is fantastic and a great way to unwind. The grilling areas are convenient. We will be back!
