Our unit is a privately owned hotel room located in the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort and Spa.

Studio unit with a king size bed, chaise lounge (suitable for a child ages 5-10) and air conditioning. Access to Kauai Beach Resort amenities. Views of beautiful green park and ocean beyond from the balcony.

Our unit is a privately owned hotel room located in the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort and Spa.

This is a beautiful second floor unit with a view of the park and ocean behind it. Comfortable king bed with chaise lounge and balcony.

The Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort and Spa is a beautiful Hawaiian plantation-style resort located on 25 acres of lush Garden Isle, centrally located between Kauai’s south and north shores, making it perfect for your island adventures. Only minutes from the airport, Costco, Walmart and Shopping. You will go thru a tree canopy lined drive that leads to the resort. Several acres of beach front property to enjoy and explore. On property there are four swimming pools, complete with water falls, a poolside cabana bar and grill, two jacuzzies, fitness center and day spa. Paradise will be your back yard!

RESORT AMENITIES
• 4 swimming pools, including 2 lagoon pools, 75-ft lava tube slide, & kid-friendly sand bottom pool.
• Two whirlpool spas, one amidst a stone grotto and surrounded by lush ferns and an exotic waterfall.

• Poolside Driftwood Bar and Grill
• Free Wi-Fi access in lobby, restaurants, and the pool areas.

• $40/day parking fee paid directly to Kauai Beach Resort at check-in.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT POLICY
• Check-in time is 4:00 PM / Check-out time is 11:00 AM.
Check in procedure:
Simply check in at the front desk with your name and booking info.

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES
• Please note that daily maid service is not included when renting direct through VRBO. The cleaning fee included in your payment to VRBO covers cleaning/re-stocking the room after your stay.
If you would like a mid-stay cleaning (maid service) for your room it is $65 each cleaning.

As Private Unit guest you have full access to the pools, whirlpool spas, the grounds, the beach, the business center, the restaurants, the lounge, the poolside bar, live music, the fitness room, coin laundry access and the Hawaiian Rainforest Spa.

By renting via VRBO you avoid paying the $25 per day resort fee charged by Kauai Beach Resort. However, the Hawaiian Cultural classes, which include classes like Hula and Lei Making are not included as part of your stay.

FAQs - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

IS THIS CONDO OR A HOTEL ROOM?
Both. The resort was previously a Hilton hotel, the units are just like hotel rooms. However, they are privately owned “condotels”. The resort operates much like a hotel, and most guests are not aware that the units are privately owned. Most of the units are offered to the public through the resort or through travel sites at much higher retail prices. Although, a few are offered on VRBO at owner rates with access to the resort’s amenities.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RENTING ON VRBO vs. THE RESORT
The $$$ price and also maid service. Renting direct through VRBO saves you a lot of money. However, daily maid service is not included. The cleaning fee you pay when booking takes care of cleaning and restocking the unit after your stay.

DOES THE UNIT HAVE A KITCHEN?
No. They do not have kitchens they were previously hotel rooms.

ARE WE ABLE TO COOK IN THE UNIT?
No. Local fire ordinances do not allow cooking in any of the rooms. The resort has a microwave in the lounge area on the 5th floor of Building 2 that can be used by all guests.
WHAT IS THE RESORT’S BEACH LIKE?
The resort is located on a 3-mile stretch of beautiful beach, amazing for long walks. The beach is very scenic but, is not considered a swimmable beach as it has a decent amount of coral. The surf is also unpredictable. It's best is to go to some of Kauai's many famous beaches for swimming. Lydgate Beach park is a nearby beach that is good for swimming.

SHOULD I GET A CAR?
We recommend that you have a rental car. The resort has most everything you need to have a wonderful time and relax. A car will allow you to experience many popular attractions, buying groceries, and going to many amazing restaurants etc. If you want a car for a day or two there is an on-site Hertz car rental agency. The rates are higher but it is an option for a short rental.

IS THERE FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE FROM THE AIRPORT?
No. The shuttle service from the airport is not available to our guests. The resort does offer free shuttle service to/from the airport for guests who book through the resort. Kauai Beach Resort is close the airport which make taxi prices more reasonable. Uber also operates on the island!

ARE THERE BEACH TOWELS TO TAKE TO THE BEACH?
Your stay includes 4 pool/beach towels.

DOES THE RESORT CHARGE A RESORT FEE?
Private owner guests are not required to pay the $25 daily resort fee.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR A DAILY PARKING FEE?
Yes, if you have a car the resort charges $40 /day for parking. This fee is paid by the guest to the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort at check-in.

DO I GET FREE WI-FI INTERNET SERVICE?
YES! Wi-Fi is FREE in all the units. The signal extends into the lobby, restaurants, bars and in the pool area!

DOES THE UNIT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING?
Yes. The unit has central A/C.

Beautiful resort in a quiet (not near much of anything) part of Kauai. The property is nice, but some areas are outdated and need renovation and/or deep cleaning. The room was as described and has plenty of hangers.

Great location for us
Crystal was an amazing host. Excellent communication and very accommodating. This room is small but it was perfect. Great bed and a hot shower. The staff were always professional and friendly. This location is also close to airport in case you happen to arrive late at night. Thank you Crystal for everything!

Close to airport but peaceful and quiet location
After flying in to Kauai late one night (after 11pm) we were happy to k ow we were only a five minute drive from the airport. Being so close, I worried it could be in a flight path but we never heard a sound of a plane in our time there. The location is excellent - lots of restaurants within 5-10 minutes and it made for a great base to explore the south and east side of Kauai. I’d recommend this property for anyone, like us, coming to Kauai for the first time and wanting a central base from which to explore the island.

Fine for our needs
The resort as a whole is very nice and they are doing renovations to update the property. The room itself was just okay. There was a lingering mildew smell the whole time which while we understand we are by the ocean we didn’t experience this during our stay in Maui. The carpet was also moist the entire time and we feel is the reason behind the mildew smell in the room. Otherwise the room was fine and satisfied our needs while we were there, just a bit of updating in the room itself would make this place great. No other issues

Beautiful Resort
We really enjoyed our stay at KBR. The grounds are kept up beautifully and it looks like more improvements are quickly being done. The pools are amazing as well as the hot tubs and a super fun and fast water slide. We also really appreciated the friendly staff. We also were really happy with the food. The room has a very comfortable bed and nice linens. There is a medium size refrigerator that makes storing food convenient. Crystal was easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great all around
Great 1st stay at Kauai Beach Resort. Room was just as expected, clean, great partial ocean view. Nothing over the top but nothing to complain about either. Resort is older but is getting a face lift and has pretty much everything you could ask for. Save yourself a ton of money and book this through vrbo and go enjoy this insanely beautiful island.

Incredible views
Wonderful view from the view. Incredible comfortable bed. Resort has full amenities for family or adults. Food and drinks can be a little expensive - but overall wonderful experience and vacation. Go to the beach and take a left - nice 3 mile walk!!!

Relaxing Vacation
We enjoyed our stay at the Kauai Beach Resort. Very convenient and close for car rental and airport. We thought that the condo was ocean front, but it was not so that was a bit disappointing for us. There was no microwave, toaster, dishes, glasses, silverware or hair dryer which is norm for a hotel room so that was something we were surprised about. The resort was very nice but for people like us that like to sleep in, others that don't are not very respectful of practicing being quiet for others. They would be slamming doors and talking much louder than needed in the hallway right by our door. We also had issues with hot water. I did not have one hot shower from beginning to end the entire time we were there. I even tried different times of day to shower and sometimes it would be a bit better but other days it wouldn't and would be just the same. Its pretty much my fault for not doing my homework and making sure that we had everything in a condo rental that we needed. My Mom had just passed and I needed a vacation and we rushed into booking. So this isn't the owners fault, this is ours. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. All in all we had a relaxing time.

Great jumping off point!
This room in the Kauai Beach Resort was a great jumping off point to explore the island. Not too far wmaway from any one attraction, the resort also has a great pool area. This room was clean and worked well for my spouse and child. However, hot water availability was random and unreliable. There were cold showers on more than one occasion unfortunately.

Great place and location
This unit was close to the airport and located on an ideal side of the island in which we were able to take advantage of all parts of the island. Bed was comfortable and room had a small refrigerator that worked well. The resort was very well maintained although we did not take full advantage of all it had to offer.

An Amazing Relaxing Vaca
We absolutely loved this property! The resort itself has everything, restaurants, pools, hot tub/spa’s, on the beach. Half the time we didn’t leave cuz it had everything we needed. The resorts employees are welcoming and take great care of you. The room itself was great. At first it smelled a little musty, however we found the glade plug in and moved it to different outlet and that helped. Room was clean and spacious. There is no microwave in room but in the building over there is. The beach is also a little rocky so we couldn’t really go out and swim too far but it was still a great beach to walk and play in. Crystals communication was amazing and offered mid stay cleaning service which was amazing! Great stay and will return!
