Lovely, quiet neighborhood, modern rooms
If you are looking to stay in a quieter neighborhood in Lisbon but still be close to all the action and live in comfortable, clean, and modern conditions, then Hotel Principe Avila is the right choice for you. My friend and I loved the quieter neighborhood compared to the bustle of Alfama, but the hotel is also conveniently located only a 20-minute walk from the Eduardo VII Park, where the Wonderland Lisboa Christmas market was situated. We loved the convenient location of the hotel, as well as the modern furnishings and feel. The hotel room was clean and the beds were super comfortable. The breakfast buffet they serve every morning included such a wide variety! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in Lisbon.

Buen hotel y buena ubicación en Lisboa
Buen hotel y conveniente a escasos metros de El Corte Inglés y de la estación del metro de San Sebastiao. Igualmente, cerca del aeropuerto y se ubica también a unos 15 minutos del centro (25 min a pie). El servicio es bueno en general, las habitaciones están limpias, las camas son confortables, los cuartos modestamente amplios pero funcionales, el housekeeping es diario y el desayuno de cortesía (en caso de tenerlo contratado) es de excelente calidad y vale la pena. Igualmente el personal es amable y tienen la disposición de ayudar No les pongo la Calificación de excelente salvo por un pequeño inconveniente que creo pudieron manejarlo de una manera menos amenazante; resulta que me cobraron 15 euros por llevar algunos alimentos del área del desayuno a la habitación y tal acción no está permitida. El hecho lo entiendo, las formas no. Fuimos abordados de una forma imperativa por una de las meseras y ésta mandó sin tregua una misiva de cobranza a recepción sin que yo haya firmado un recibo o un aviso o una amonestación previa. Pido de favor ser más flexibles, a final de cuentas, si el desayuno ya está incluido, no veo inconveniente en llevar algo; yo tengo un bebé, no quería despertarlo y por ende, llevarle alimento por comodidad mía y la de él a la habitación para que desayunara. Entiendo que son reglas pero creo que pueden ser menos restrictivos y cuadrados con los huéspedes o hacer excepciones, después de todo, uno contrata el servicio para descansar y no para estresarse.

This hotel was perfect. Great staff. Hotel is in a good area with residential and business so a real local vibe. Clean, quiet rooms, amazing breakfast, the Metro outside the door. An art museum, botanical garden, local shops, restaurants and cafes, Corte Ingles in the immediate area. Five Metro stops to the downtown. I loved my stay at this hotel. Thanks to the staff for making my stay so nice.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Principe Avila, especially as a solo female traveller. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable and tidy, it was located in a quiet neighborhood but a few minutes away from the metro station (with access to 2 lines). The breakfast was a delight. I would highly recommend to anyone planning a visit to Lisbon. Thanks again for making my stay here delightful!

Outstanding stay in Lisbon
This is an outstanding hotel! Top marks for the friendly, helpful and accommodating hotel staff. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed spending the morning in the bright breakfast area with friendly staff, specialty coffee machines, automated pancake popper, along with tasty and well supplied breakfast selections. The hotel is conveniently located in a nice neighbourhood close to shopping, park areas, restaurants and the metro. We would not hesitate to stay at Principe Avila the next time we travel to Lisbon.
