For those interested in history, the Rochdale Pioneers Museum is a must see, as it documents the birthplace of the modern co-operative movement. You can take a walk in the Pennine hills which is direct from your front door or explore the neighbouring charming towns of Todmorden and artsy Hebden Bridge.
