Desk clerk was rude about my not understanding his confusing instructions. WiFi not included in price but available for an extra charge. Room was dirty. Area behind toilet looked worse than any single guy bathroom. Photos are deceivingly nicer than the rundown, dirty room.

It's very dirty and the quality of the interior is old looking. We also found dirty male underwear in the wardrobe. We booked this hotel last minute as we needed to go to a party and didn't want to stay awake till 5am. I wouldn't recommend it for more than one night. Breakfast was very basic and served in bowels that looked dirty.

Cheap but dont expect a good nights sleep

Shocking quality of bed, just so old that you cant even sleep on it, i had to sleep on top of the mattress to make it even close to comfortable but i guess its cheap! Single glassed windows means you hear traffic and people all night

I wanted no frills, and Guildford House Hotel didn’t promise frills! £50 for a double bed and en-suite from a static caravan next to Russell Square. I’d say the electrical fittings could have been fitted more securely, and the radiator could benefit from a valve you could adjust, but it was functional. The Wi-Fi was poor enough that I resorted to my phone's data in the end, and hot water needs to be run for a little while first, but at that price, the water isn’t staying in the pipes long enough to be a legionella risk. It does the job, and the business is honest, but this isn't for you if you’re expecting a large, shiny chain hotel with a cooked breakfast in the morning.

The hotel was tired and not maintained, our room was v basic, the sheets were clean but the room felt like it had not been aired and we all slept bad. The bathroom had a bad damp smell, the shower curtain smelt terrible. The breakfast was basic but they had used pots of peanut butter and Nutella out for use which was not sanitary. This was definitely not worth £200 and I'm very annoyed that we paid this money for this establishment.

Lot of people smoking cannabis inside the hotel which smelled really badly with fumes, both in the corridor and in the room. Tried to mention it to the hotel and they basically told me they could not do anything like it is ok to have cannabis smoke throughout the propertly and just to open the window... Room quite dirty and def more of a 1 star hotel. Totally unsafe in general, I was actually shocked to have such a property booked via Expedia.

Room was dark and dingy. There was an empty coke bottle in the bed. The shower drain overflowed into the room. The WiFi we had to pay for (£2.50 per day per device) was terrible and intermittent at best.

Clean, a little dated but very cheap.

Great value. Staff were fantastic. Room was very basic but clean and all you need for a brief stay. I was only sleeping there, much better than anything near this price (multi occupancy hostel, no thanks). Perfect for my one night to avoid the replacement bus service and be fresh for work in the morning.

The hotel was basic, very old fashioned, my room was definitely in need of refurbishment, the curtains didn’t close properly, Noticed some fire doors were perminatly propped open. Unsafe for guests. Excellent helpful staff, very clean bed linen and white towels, comfortable bed but NO mattress or pillow protectors on bed. Had to go 2 doors down for reception and breakfast! NOT sure on security in hotel I stayed at only secure card entrance, internet had said 24 hours security, there were some cameras, SO presume they covered both Hotels ! Even though I once went to reception and there was no one there watching these cameras. OVERALL A VERY GOOD CHEAP HOTEL IN LONDON 😊

I didn’t like having to go to one building and sleeping in another building where there was no 24 hour reception. I was put on 4 flight of stairs with no lifts. The place is a very old house that needs to be demolished. I felt unsafe while I was there. I left at 4:30 in the morning and had no breakfast. I believe that Camden borough should shut that place down as it seems to be more of a health hazard. I feel that I should get a refund for what I had. Would never go there again.

Just start by booking 1 night, and then reassess

It is passable, I suppose. They charge you for poor quality wifi. The breakfast is stale cereal and bread, instant coffee or tea, and juice. It isn't really worthwhile but I suppose it is something. They have a 36 hour cancellation policy, presumably instituted because so many people wanted to cancel immediately after arrival.
