We stayed here for the week, in an 1 bedroom with sofa bed. Overall, it was a good option. The sofa bed was a little outdated, not the most comfortable. The front desk staff always friendly and polite
Apartment was in a good clean condition, floors could have been slightly cleaner, but not a major issue. Sadly the mattress was too firm for my likening

Loved: Great reception staff, fast internet connection, comfy bed, luxury product in bathrooms, secure entry system
Not so good: area, felt a bit unsafe waiting for taxis outside. Flat felt dingy due to low wattage lighting, TV didn’t work
We spent 11 days in this apartment. On the web it said provided free toiletry but when we asked for shampoo and conditioner, they said we had to buy it ourselves. They gave us only the 1st time welcome pack which is 30ml tiny bottle. But they gave you refill of toilet paper only. For the washing machine detergent, they wokt give you refrill.So what does it means for free toiletries items and asa tourist, i wont bug the normal size and then carry in lugguage. We travelled to mamy apartments and they all provided sufficient items foe the duration you stay.
This living so dort and noisy which cant let me kid to sleep. Cigarettes are outside of the windows and the windows have no lick. So when windy, you will hear the wooden windows keep flip and knocking the the frame and super noisy.
I regrwt i didnt pick excel to stay juat less then 10 mins DLR and i can tell you at least half of the peice, bigger and new.
This Merlin apartment nearby have many beggars and i can see from my unit, there was a shelters up at the roof on top of the restaurant opposite aide of the street.
I had a wonderful stay at the Marlin. The staff were very accommodating and addressed all of our concerns. I love the neighborhood. I hope to be back soon.
Let me start with positives. Conveniently located for public transport. Bus stop is right across the apartment. DLR is about 5 mins walk
Washer and dryer is useless. It’s a very small combo appliance suitable for probably 1 pair of clothing.dryer makes noise as if there is an airplane engine in it. Still does not dry full even after 2 hours. We gave up on this after the 2nd day and dried our clothes on the rack
The bath tub is almost 2.5 to 3 ft high. If you have small kids or elders they cannot get in to this. And it has half door. So the water keeps spilling out.
Kitchen has bare minimal cookware.
No AC. So on some hot days in the morning times you have to sit in front of the pedestal fan. Some of the fans were bad and even after a complaint to fix no one showed up. There are no extra fans available

It’s was lovely
It was a lovely place, very very close to shops and restaurants, this place is very comfortable and clean. Personallly I think it was a lil too hot without any air conditioning
The hotel was nice and clean, as expected. The area is close to Limehouse DLR station which is great for commuting to central London. However looks like over the years, Marlin's policies have changed. For example, they dont provide extra tea / coffee, toiletries, or even replace used towels, which was a big surprise for me as I had stayed at Marlin a few years back. The hotel staff could be more polite and welcoming in my opinion. On the whole, it was a good stay but I'm not sure if I would stay at Marlin again which in my opinion is not a budget hotel so you'd expect better than the other cheaper ones.
