This 500 sqft, 2bd/1ba cottage gives you the conveniences of home, while enjoying a vacation getaway! Designed with a serene blue ocean theme, it sets the tone for a beach vacation. Built in 1913 and recently renovated, the home still boasts much of its original charm. Located in Alamitos Beach, a multicultural, urban neighborhood of Long Beach. Only a 15 min walk to the beach and steps from shops, restaurants and bars. Hidden off the main street in a small alley behind the hustle and bustle.
The full kitchen is stocked with cookware, serveware and small appliances. Enjoy nearly year-round warm weather with a home cooked meal, or local takeout at the picnic table on your private patio. Whether in town for work or entertainment, you are sure to enjoy the lightning-fast Wi-Fi at 700 mbps. Smart 50 inch Amazon fire TVs in both bedrooms and the living room will allow you to access your favorite streaming accounts. The Jack and Jill style bathroom opens to the master bedroom and the kitchen, and features a small shower stall, marble tiled floor and an attached bidet.
Long Beach and southern California in general are most easily accessed by car. We do offer one off-street parking space, located directly in front of the front porch. Any additional vehicles may be parked on the street. Please note that street parking can be scarce at times so you may have to search awhile and park a bit away from the house. When parking on the street please check the street signs for time limitations, in order to avoid a parking ticket. If you prefer not to drive, there is still much to do within walking distance. Uber and Lyft are another great option for visiting attractions that are a bit further away.
We live nearby and member of our team is available if you need anything during your stay. We try to give our guests their space and privacy so we will likely only contact you when necessary to ensure you have an enjoyable stay.

• All guests are required to provide the property with a verified government ID, signed rental agreement and information and refundable $500 security deposit
• The washing machine does not supply hot water
• We do have baby equipment available to rent, including a travel cot, for an additional fee
Please be advised that we ask all guests to complete our secure, online guest verification portal after your reservation is created. Similar to hotel requirements, we ask that guests provide a copy of their government Issued ID and matching selfie. You will be given the option to either purchase a damage waiver at a non-refundable rate of $35 per stay, or provide a fully-refundable $500 security deposit. Please note that there is a non-refundable processing fee of $2 with the security deposit option. These measures are used to prevent fraudulent reservations, for identity verification and for the safety of all guests and homes. We take data security very seriously. All information entered into this form is encrypted and transmitted securely over SSL.
Please treat our place kindly and clean up after yourself. We do ask that you remove your shoes and try to keep the space in similar condition to which you found it. Our cleaning fees are based on the expectation that guests do some general tidying up before their departure. In the event that the housekeeper discovers an unreasonable mess, an excess cleaning fee in the amount of $150 will be charged to the guest.
We have a gardener that comes to take care of the property every other week. Please note that they will enter the backyard through the gate. They are usually in and out very quickly.
We are surrounded by neighbors. Please be respectful of their homes and keep the noise level low.
We do manage multiple properties and receive many early check-in/late check-out requests. We are happy to do our best to accommodate them, but it is subject to availability. Since this does take time away from our cleaners and require them to rearrange their schedules, they do charge a fee for the service.
Absolutely no parties, events or gatherings without the host's prior consent. No more than 6 people are allowed inside the unit at any time. We charge $100 per person, per booked night for any additional guest that is not included on the reservation.
Exterior cameras are monitored to ensure accurate guest counts.
For reservations longer than 14 days, one mid-stay cleaning is required for every two weeks of your reservation. We will send you a separate request for payment of the additional cleaning fee(s) after your reservation has been made. This will be invoiced at the same rate as the cleaning fee associated with your reservation. If you prefer a specific date or time, we will do our best to accommodate you based around our cleaning schedule.
We will welcome up to two dogs under 30 lbs on a case by case basis. We do not allow any other pets. Please contact us prior to booking with your dog's breed, a bit of background on them, and let us know if you agree to the following pet rules. We charge a $75 pet fee to cover cleaning. You can pay this through the resolution center on Airbnb. Your dog(s) must be fully housebroken and over 1 year old. Your dog must be on a current flea medication regimen, fleas are very common in southern California. Your dog must be kept on a leash when outside and pick up after your dog. If barking becomes an issue, I may have to ask you to shorten your stay. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture (sofa, bed, etc.)
Our cleaners are very busy with multiple turnovers each day. We will charge $20 for each 20 minutes, to our guests that checkout late without prior approval.
Wash your dishes and put your trash in the bin. Turn off the ceiling fans and inside lights, lock doors and windows before you leave.
Upon checking out, please place used towels, robes and bathmat in the laundry baskets which are located inside the closets.
Please be mindful of bed sheets and towels. Makeup/foundation, face medications/creams, and tanning products will stain and/or bleach linens/towels. Please use grey washcloths to remove makeup and white washcloths for bleaching products. Housekeeping will wash all laundry. Unsalvageable linens/bath towels will be charged to the guest.
No smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes allowed in the property (either indoors or the yard). Please feel free to partake in these activities on outside, 25 ft away from any windows or doors.
Accidents happen. If you do happen to stain or break something during your stay, please notify us immediately via the Airbnb message system. We almost always have guests checking in and out on the same day. By notifying us in advance of any damages, we will be able to make sure the home is in proper order for the following guest.
Sometimes unexpected events can interrupt travel plans. We strongly recommend purchasing CFAR travel insurance.
