Talo:
Kutsumme sinut majoittumaan 1850 umpitiilellä maalaistalo, joka on kokonaan uusittu kaikki modernit mukavuudet, kuten Keski AC, lämpö ja nopea WiFi. Elämme kymmenen minuutin päässä, joten voi auttaa sinua mitä tarvitset.

Makuuhuoneet:
Farmhouse voi nukkua jopa kuusi henkilöä. On kaksi makuuhuonetta. Master Suite on king size-vuode uusi nojatuoli ja taulutelevisio. Vierashuoneessa on Queen tyynypehmuste, joka nukkuu mukavasti kahteen. Kylpyhuoneissa:

Olohuone:
Haluamme levittäytyvät kaksi sohvaa ja vuosisadan puoliväliin lepotuoli olohuoneessa. Meillä on paljon lautapelejä, pelikortit, romaaneja, lasten kirjoja ja viivästyksiä aikakauslehtien lukea.

Keittiö:
Keittiö on täysin varustettu kahdeksan henkilön maatila pöytä ja antiikki vuolukivi pesuallas. Sinulla on kaikki mitä tarvitset kokki loma aterian, tai vain tehdä kahvia, paahtoleipää ja käyttää mikrossa yksinkertainen lämmittäminen. Jos tarvitset jotain meillä ei ole, teemme parhaamme majoittaa.

Viihde:

BBQ:

2nd Stay.
This was our second trip to Luray, first was about 6 years ago. The location is just where we wanted to be, in the country. Lots of Deer and Turkey were just next door and the Skyline Drive was only a few miles away, so riding my motorcycle to and from was a piece of cake. The house has everything you need and was so relaxing we didn't want to leave. I can't say enough about this property and we can't wait to come back!!

Made Wonderful Memories
It was the perfect place for our family to gather for the Thanksgiving holiday. Some of our group came in from the DC metro area and reported an easy drive even in the rain. The farmhouse is modernized but retains the feel of an antique home. It sits very privately on a big lawn surrounded by woods and farmland. It is fully fenced except for the long driveway. I felt safe having my dog off leash except after dark to avoid skunk encounters. We were able to cook our traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings in the well appointed kitchen. When not exploring the area (Luray Caverns, Shenandoah and downtown Luray) our group mostly gathered around the large farmhouse table. There are board games and cards to entertain. The TV area is part of the primary bedroom. We hardly watched TV. It worked fine for our group although some groups may find it awkward. We appreciated all the small details, like an abundance of hooks, bedside reading lamps, labeled light switches and more. The beds were very comfortable and everyone slept so well. Cleanliness is clearly a priority for the owners. Everything was spotless. We also enjoyed pouring over the renovation picture book that was on the coffee table in the primary bedroom. The home has come a long way. Nice job! It was a wonderful experience. If you have an appreciation for antique homes but do not want to live like a pioneer, book it. You will have no regrets.

Dreamy farmhouse
We spent Thanksgiving weekend at Jay and Ryanne's beautiful farmhouse. They were quick to respond to inquiries. The property is private. We felt unplugged and enjoyed family time with our adult children and our dogs. So relaxing. I never wanted to leave the large, rustic kitchen. So cozy and warm and stocked with the necessities. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Place
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Luray farmhouse. They have thought of everything and have every amenity one could need. We also appreciated the outside lighting when we needed to take our dog out at night. The only thing I would have liked is a dryer to go with the washer since it was raining during our visit but they did have a drying rack that we used over an ac vent to dry our clothes. Also be mindful that there is only one full bath which was perfect for just the two of us but if you have a larger party it may be a problem.

Modern Farmhouse- Comfy, Cozy, Full of Charm and Close
Our family loved this modern farmhouse. It had everything we needed. It was conveniently located near area attractions yet private and relaxing. The spaces and decor were comfy and cozy and full of farmhouse charm. The hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming!!! The extremely large and well maintained yard and beautiful private setting were enjoyed by all, including, and especially our two dogs, who felt completely at home walking, playing and lounging around the premises. The stay at this lovely farmhouse with all its amenities and numerous comfortable spaces (inside and out) was perfect for our family to spend special time together and yet afforded everyone the opportunity to retreat to a private area when quiet was needed. We all enjoyed our stay at this charming and modern farmhouse. It was an extra special highlight of our family vacation.

The property exceeded our expectations, which were already quite high. We loved cooking on the outdoor chimney grill. Loved the amount of space and seclusion. Thought the guest room was cozy. Appreciated how comfortable the beds were. And we were impressed by the small details including artwork, lighting, and a commitment to sustainability.

Fun family vacation
Our group of adults plus children ages 1-4 had a fantastic time at the property. The property is expansive with plenty of room to walk, explore, play, and cook outside for all ages. Inside, the farmhouse is very modern and well furnished offering a welcome respite when it became too hot outside and during summer rainstorms. It is very well located for easy drives into Shenandoah park, Lake Arrowhead, Luray caverns, and downtown Luray. We enjoyed visits to everyone throughout our 6 day stay. All in all, a great stay.

Shenandoah Getaway!
This is a wonderful vacation home! Everything was as described and more! Jay and Ryanne are marvelous hosts and were very responsive to our needs. It was very windy during our stay and on two separate occasions a tree fell over the driveway blocking our exit. On both occasions their handyman was on-site within minutes to remove the debris. Great hosts, great home, we would certainly stay again!

Perfect accomodations in the perfect location!
We loved the Farmhouse and the proximity to Shenandoah National Park (40 min), as well as downtown Luray (10 min). Everything you could ever need is available at the house, and the hosts were reachable and helpful for any additional needs. We hope to come back soon!

Fabulous Experience
We are traveling the National Parks and using VRBO properties-this is one of the top properties we have stayed in!! Extremely clean, had every amenity one could need-books, games, cooking stuff, bathroom soaps and lotion, wi-fi, outdoor firepit/grill, dog treats...and more. The master suite was cool, the bed was so comfortable, and there was a comfy sitting area to wind down after a day of hiking.. Speaking of hikes, we were within 10 mins drive of super amazing hikes. We are very enviro-friendly, so amenities such as the compost bin and easily accessible outlet to charge our hybrid were a huge bonus. Finally-the owners were incredibly responsive! Thanks for sharing this historical, yet modern, farmhouse!

Beautiful Home Close to Shenandoah National Park
We stayed here this past weekend and were delighted by the accommodations. The house was comfortable and clean, the kitchen was very fun to use, they thought of everything a person might need and then some. The yard is big and very good for birding and running the dogs around. We will definitely be back, and recommending to all our friends.

Another wonderful trip to Luray
This is 4th year staying at this farmhouse. We love it so much, that is now an annual tradition for us. The farmhouse has everything you need and more for your stay. Also, it is close to one of the entrance to Shenandoah National Park, which makes it super convenient for day hikes.

A enchanting Shenandoah getaway!
I’ve never stayed in a more fully equipped vacation rental than this lovely, fully updated 1850s farmhouse. From board games to baseball mitts, from chilled bottled water waiting for us in the fridge to dog treats for our puppy, Ryanne and Jay provided everything a houseguest could wish for. Rafting down the Shenandoah River with SRO was a perfect way to spend a leisurely day, and the beach at nearby Lake Arrowhead is ideal for any family with young children. (You can also rent kayaks or fish there!) Hiking trails in the Shenandoah National Park are among the nicest I’ve encountered east of the Rockies. I hope to return soon and often!

Beautiful and relaxing
The house and property were beautiful. We were impressed with all the amenities from books and games to baby supplies (pack-n-play and high chair). Had a fun time watching the cows and turtle nest. Gnats were bad but that is to be expected for 80 degree days in the spring.
