Loved the property (Chueca property) just that they promised me a balcony one and ended up getting one with a small super closed backyard. The amenities, furniture and instructions were clear and nice

The place was in excellent location in the most popular and fun area in the center of Madrid. It was close to all major areas and connected to all important metro lines. Apartment was nice but we had some issues in the beginning with the air conditioning which wasn’t working when we arrived to Madrid on 38 degrees weather. The property has 24 hour concierge service but until 4am on our first night, no one was able to help us until one of their employees finally offered us to move and sleep in other apartment in the same building. The next day they were able to move us to a much better apartment with a functional AC. After that all was great and we had a wonderful time. This was our second time staying with this company in Madrid and we loved our stay. The only suggestion would be to fix and replace a bit outdated AC system with more modern and more efficient units.

The property we stayed at was right by the Mercado San Miguel, across from an excellent flamenco show place, tons of restaurant, around the corner from Plaza Mayor. Even though the area is busy, it’s quiet at night time to sleep after midnight. It has washing machine which came in very handy for us. Would definitely recommend this location and would stay at it again. Only negative is that the keys have to be picked up at an alternative location which creates a bit of additional work and logistics, as well as the fact that they don’t have bag consignment when you arrive before check in time. But that seems to be very common in the area.

Hooligans running amok at 3 am.
Everything was fine until the young “adult” male hooligans returned from their evening of carousing on the first night. We were tired, jet lagged, and sleep deprived, and then the SOB’s started pounding on doors, shouting, and setting off alarms. We barely got any sleep that night. They started warming up their simian behavior (my apologies to simians for the degrading comparison) around 2 am of the second night, but we had an early morning flight and we’re up and out of there before they started another demonstration of their total lack of any redeeming human values. As the hotel staff is not resident there is no way they could have responded to this horrid behavior and evicted this scum to the nearest cesspit where they belonged. Their management arrangement permitted this to happen, and this experience outweighs all the positive attributes of the property. We just may have had bad timing in when we rented. Or this may be a routine occurrence at this property. We don’t know, but we do know that it happened to us, and that a resident managerial presence could have called in the local law enforcement to remove this problem. As much as we liked the apartment and it’s location, we have resolved that we won’t rent here again.

Location is dope, apartment condition to price is real good. The only major problem was the checkin, the apartment checkin was sent at 6pm and you have to pick the keys at a reception which is 15min walk from the apartment! I thought this was odd! Other than the check in, everything was comfortable and location is probably the best in all Madrid

Biggest mistake of my life. The staff is a horror.
Worst place ever. If you value your health and mental sanity, avoid this property in this company completely. There are many other better places with fantastic management but this place is the absolute worst I’ve ever experienced in my 25+ years of worldwide travel. Rude, inconsiderate, impolite, degrading, and condescending. This staff is horrific!

Never again! Broken appliances, cheap and severely scuffed furniture, and worst of all, the rude, disrespectful staff who does nothing but LIE, LIE, LIE! They are the most dishonest and unprofessional people I’ve ever met in my life! If you stay here, problems will come up, and you will be lied to and treated not as a welcomed guest, but instead as a nuisance and since you’ve already paid, you have no recourse and they will lie to hotels.com

Bad company, horrible management with terrible attitude. I wouldn’t stay at ANY SmartRental property even if the option was death. The staff are RUDE, DESPICABLE, AND COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT. They define the opposite of good customer service. STAY AWAY! FAR FAR FAR AWAY from this company.
