Seasonal Road Closure Notice: HWY 120 (Tioga Pass) generally closes for the winter from late October through late June. The bed was a double and way too.small for 2 people of 6 feet. Shower was difficult to understand-- controls were in wrong position. The room was way too hot and controls only said low, medium and high They had no maid service for our room for 4 days-- we told the desk.and they had some bring towels.and trash bags-- that was it

I’ve stayed at this Motel 6 twice, and only because it was the absolute cheapest place to stay in Mammoth at the time. This place is clean and the staff are very nice, but it’s janky for the most part. Telephones in the rooms are from the 1980’s and they don’t work. The key cards to open the door don’t work half the time, constantly going back to the office to get new ones. There’s nothing special about this place, but the beds are soft and the shower is hot. If you’re just looking for a simple place to stay because you’re out snowboarding most of the time then this is the place for you. There is no luxury. I’ll probably still book with them in the future, though, because it does serve a purpose.

There were lots of dogs staying. I could hear dogs parking at all hours. It is close to everything. The rooms are surprisingly small. Great location!

Everything was good and as expected. Hot water, clean sheets and floors and sinks and everything. My only quibble is with the wattage of the lights which needs to be higher. It was very dim in there and not very welcoming.

Needed two blankets to stay warm
Room had poor heating. Brought the issue to management, said there was nothing they could do except move me to another room. I tried another room and it had the same problem. I had to wear ski clothes to stay warm in the room. Otherwise the room was okay.
