LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
Ideally located on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool deck with glorious mountain views.
One of the best kept secrets about ski towns is their spring/summer season when the snow melts away and a world of deep green alpine forests, crystal blue lakes and wildflowers fill the landscape. Mammoth Lakes is one of the many gems in California’s majestic High Sierras and our 2-bedroom vacation condo at Juniper Springs Resort is a great place to relax and unwind.
All the amenities you'd expect from a top-notch resort are here, including a large outdoor swimming pool (heated year-round), three hot tubs, two barbecues, business center, fitness center, and bocce ball court, and underground parking. Xbox can be rented from the front desk at no charge until 10 pm.
On the inside you will find the creature comforts of home, a gas fireplace, microwave oven, dishwasher, blender, high speed internet, 50-inch flat screen Sharp Roku TV (w/ Apple TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.), ceiling fans in each room and two portable fans. Both bedrooms are appointed with king-size beds, and there's a queen-size sofa sleeper in the living room. Laundry facilities are a short distance down the hall. The unit is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen with cutlery, pots and pan, Keurig coffee maker, cooking spices and more.
Beyond the abundance of outdoor activities -- golfing, hiking, fishing, biking, horseback riding, cycling, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, hot air ballooning, etc. -- the town of Mammoth offers a nice medley of restaurants, bars, boutiques and day spas.
Mammoth has a growing arts and cultural scene with performing arts, live music, and arts and crafts festivals throughout the year. Mammoth Festival of Beers and Bluesapalooza is a perennial favorite and runs the first weekend in August.
It's worth noting Juniper Springs Resort is the ideal launch pad for your national park adventure. The eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park is an easy 50-minute drive by traveling north on Highway 395 to Highway 120 (Tioga Road). Travel time from Mammoth Lakes to the Yosemite Valley is approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes.
You may also enjoy Mammoth Hot Springs, Devils Post pile, Horseshoe Lake, Owens Valley River, San Joaquin River, Lake Crowley, Mt. Whitney, Yosemite, Mono Lake, Death Valley, the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, Bodie State Historic Park -- a genuine California gold-mining ghost town, and Hot Creek Trout Hatchery Trout. Valentine Eastern Sierra Reserve, which is part of the University of California Natural Reserve System. Mammoth Creek flows through the site, bordered by high mountain riparian vegetation. The entrance is just beyond the resort property line, behind the pool.
