Gather your family and friends any season of the year and start building your special “Up-North Memories” at Big Elk Lodge. Big Elk Lodge is a private home located on the shore of Clear Lake, one of nine amazing lakes on the Manitowish Chain covering over 7,000 acres of water, connected by seven miles of scenic channels to explore. Big Elk Lodge will comfortably accommodate your group in summer, fall, winter, and spring, whether you are looking for peace and quiet or some high adventure.
Inside, the home features 3,300 square feet spread across two levels. You'll have four well-appointed bedrooms, with a king bed, one queen, and six twins to divide between your group, and there is even a sleeper sofa available for extra guests. On the upper level, you'll find the living room with a large flatscreen TV above a stone wood-burning fireplace, a game table, a dining room, the two main-level bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a full kitchen equipped with all the appliances and counter space you'll need to prepare delicious meals.
Downstairs features two bedrooms, a full bath, a laundry room, and the large family room that features a TV, and there is a Ping-Pong table, a game table, with lots of puzzles, games, books, nature guides, and maps to explore. The central AC will keep everything nice and cool on hot summer days, and you can take advantage of the free WiFi to research tomorrow's next family adventure.
This home is only two miles from the sixty-mile Heart of Vilas Bike trail that recently won an award from the national park service. Head outside to take advantage of the outdoor amenities that include two large docks, a swim area, a canoe, a rowboat, two paddleboards, four kayaks, a private gas grill, a large deck, two pairs of cross-country skis, four pairs of snowshoes, a spacious and furnished deck, and a firepit. There are plenty of fun activities and attractions nearby, such as restaurants and bars, North Lakeland Discovery Center, WinMan Trails, Koller Memorial Park, Skiing Skeeters Water Ski Show, Music in the Park, canoeing and kayaking the Manitowish River, Little Star Beach, and special weekly activities, and special weekly activities. There is also a snowmobile trail just two miles away.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 6 vehicles.
Dock details: There are multiple stairs to the dock. The lake is gorgeous and perfect for all sorts of water sports. Access is located behind the home.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
