The Brazilian owner Marcos is very friendly and helpful as all his crew, this makes the visitor to feel comfortable. The rooms are very clean.
Stayed at the Banyan ”Junior” Suite. The floor area is what I would call a double room but as it is in the attic, the ceiling descends from the middle of the room down to a height of approx. 1 m at one end. This makes that to reach this end you must crawl. On this “wall” is the rooms only windows, two round portholes of about 0,5 m in diameter, making the room hazy even in broad daylight. The room has no table, except for a small chest in front of the two seated sofa. Neither are there any chairs. The only reading light is at the one side of the bed. The terrace, size 3,5x2 m is to the southwest, enjoyable on a sunny day. The terrace door has windows giving some light to the room but as it is at the end of a corridor, it did not give much light. This “Junior” suite suits mainly newlywed or young couples.
Generally the areas in the hotel are not heated; in the breakfast room the staff used the parka jackets or similar winter clothes. This is quite general in most of the small hotels and restaurants in Spain.
