From the moment you enter the home, it feels like relaxation.
Enjoy the lovely view, have a nice drink on the upstairs balcony or take a swim in the pool.
The sunrise over the water is particularly captivating. That`s when you have a good chance to see the dolphins come by and greet you.

The house is so comfortable, with bedrooms with a king-size bed, closets, TVs, attached bathrooms, oversized balcony upstairs with a swing couch overseeing Bimini Bay.
The nightly rate is based on ten people in the party, the house sleeps up to 12 people in beds and 2 additional people on sleeper couches, however, any additional people ( children as well ) beyond 10 people there will be a charge of 50 dollars plus tax per additional gueste per night. Thank you for your understanding.
Upstairs there is hardwood flooring and the downstairs has tile flooring.

Attractive ceiling fans as well as comfortable lighting.

Very comfortable relaxing atmosphere, Key West style home with wraparound porches and exquisite interior.

The house is in a quiet, residential neighborhood. It is not suitable for having loud parties on the premise, therefore people who want to enjoy a wonderful quiet vacation are welcome.
Papergoods such as toilet paper, kitchen rolls will be provided for the initial days, but it is understood, as the week goes on the guests will purchase their own goods.

This home is NOT suitable for loud parties and festivities. The city of Marco Island has put new noise ordinance in place which will have them send the police out to write tickets.
Please no loud music around the pool and preferably have everyone enjoy the inside after 8 pm.

No garden furniture go into the pool since it hurts the surface of the pool which can be very costly to repair and the tenants will be responsible for this expense.

We offer one space for your car in the garage and two spaces in front of the garages. If you have a fourth vehicle it needs to go to another location.

To our boater guests we have to ask you to bring the trailer to a different location since there is no room in front of the garage to accommodate a trailer and your cars. Marco Marinas can help to store your trailer.

Raise Your Hands!
My husband and I hosted our children and their families at the Hemingway House this past week. It was delightful! The bedrooms and bathrooms were very practically situated and stocked. We had many books, games and outdoor items to use during our stay. Thank you for allowing us this stay in your lovely home.

Wonderful Getaway for Retired Siblings
- Our group of 8 siblings/spouses in our 70's stayed in the Hemingway House for a week in March. We were thrilled with the layout, decor, amenities and location of the house. The 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms were perfect for our group. (I should mention that one upstairs bedroom had a funky setup with the sink and shower actually in the bedroom- it was fine for a single member of our group). The pool was delightful as was the hot tub. The kitchen was well-supplied,and we did prepare several of our meals there. A few of us enjoyed using the bikes to ride around the island. My husband loved being able to fish from the dock on the property. The manager was very responsive to questions. As a VRBO Super Host myself, I noticed the cleanliness, thoughtfulness and hospitality throughout.

Loved The Hemingway House!
My husband and I have been renting a condo in MARCO ISLAND for 10 years. This year our children and grandchildren visited but our condo was not large enough so we rented The Hemingway House. Everything was FABULOUS!! Bedrooms are spacious and private and living areas both inside and by the pool are well appointed. The pool and hot tub were well maintained, clean and very warm. We will be back next year! We had no issues and the manager Marlene Church stopped by to meet us and was very helpful! It was a wonderful experience!

Great time!

Good Location - Property Needs Repairs
Sliding glass doors would not lock. Concern that 4 year old child (we had 4 under 4) could get up during the night and open the sliding glass door, (because she does this at her home), and could fall into the pool. Dishwasher upper jet had a piece missing which meant only the bottom half would get clean. Not enough towels or hooks to hang damp clothing and towels. Outdoor lighting not working as well as other issues. Our family made the best of it, but will not rent this property again. Marlene, the host, was wonderful, but owner was non responsive.

We had an amazing three days during our stay at Marco Island. The property is even better than the description! We had plenty of space and it was a great place to share with friends. Wonderful Property
My family (husband, 5 young adult children, and son-in-law) really enjoyed the accommodations. It was very clean and very well-appointed. I don’t think there was anything lacking! We enjoyed using the many bicycles. There was plenty of room to relax. Thank you for being a wonderful host, Marlene!

Relaxing in Paradise
Our family enjoyed this house tremendously. Great place to decompress from stressful jobs. Beautiful, wide water view from 2 of the upstairs bedrooms, master bath, and balcony. Also nice water view from kitchen and family room. Husband preferred staying at house/pool vs going to beach. New landscaping since pictures taken. House is very well stocked. Marlene is an outstanding host - very kind and responsive. Only disappointment was the bikes as they had a lot of wear and some rust on them. Marco isn't great for biking anyway, so we never used them.

Great place!
It’s a beautiful home, perfect for a large group. The pool and hot tub and backyard area is ideal to hang out. It’s located centrally on the island, easy to get to restaurants and grocery store. Bikes are provided, which was really fun. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Marco Island family get away
We made a last-minute switch from Anna Maria Island to find this super house on Marco Island as a result of the hurricane. The host was responsive, communicative, and accommodating. The house is perfect for a large family (3 adult kids and spouses), with five bedrooms each with its own full bath. The pool is well maintained and large with great lounging areas. We enjoyed the patio, the lanai and ability to drop kayaks into the cove right behind the house. The sunrise from the balcony is a fantastic view. The kitchen was well stocked. The host struck a great balance between giving us our space but remaining responsive anytime we needed something.

Love the Hemingway House!
This was our second annual stay at the Hemingway House. My group included myself, my son and daughter and their spouses, 4 grandsons and one friend. The accommodations are amazing; no problem sleeping 10 people comfortably. We cooked most of our meals and found all of the equipment and utensils that we could possibly need. We took full advantage of the swimming pool, kayaks and bikes, and 2 of the boys enjoyed fishing off of the dock. And there are puzzles and games available inside for when it rains. We all had a fantastic time! Many thanks to Marlene, who was very accommodating and helpful. We’re all looking forward to coming back next year!

Beach Escape
My husband and I brought our 3 daughters, their spouses and our 4 granddaughters for 8 fun filled days in Marco Island the last week in June. the house was better than described-had so much that made us feel like we were home-lots of towels, bikes, kayaks, and cooking needs. The pool was extremely popular with the kids and the location was everything! We rented a boat for 5 days and it was easy to dock. You know it was a great trip when everyone was asking when we could "do it again"! Marlene was so responsive and easy to work with. Great trip filled with wonderful memories!

Greatest 60th Birthday!
Hemingway house was everything it said it would be and then some! It's tough at this age to get a group of friends together that meets the requirements of everyone but Hemingway house produced it. From the great layout of the kitchen. (Everything you need is there! Don't need to bring anything extra!) To the amazing livingroom layout that easily fit 10 people on the couch during the Stanley Cup playoff or the nights we were just too tired to go out. The pool is awesome along with the jacuzzi and easy to use. Every switch in the house is easily marked to turn anything on you need. As for amenities it has it all, kayaks, bikes, bait buckets..you name it! It's an excellent location to town and anyone with a large party should definitely put this house at the top of their list! Marlene, the property manager brought her A game for any questions we had and was extremely professional and courteous. I WOULD RENT HEMINGWAY HOUSE AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT!

A place worth staying
Everything about this trip was worth it. Marlene had this property ready for us on an early check in and was equally accommodating for a later check out after some of our flights were delayed. The house was clean and had all the amenities to make for a wonderful vacation. Fishing off the property was somewhat productive, but it was best to take the kayaks out and fish from the channel opening. Caught some really nice snapper and grouper. The kids had a blast in the pool and the adults all were able to enjoy grown up time. This is a place I would certainly visit again if we were to visit Marco Island again. The only thing that I can think to add to the wish list would be access to a boat. That would have really taken this vacation to the next level.

An amazing week!
The Hemingway House is beautiful and well supplied for our family of 9 adults. The pool/spa area makes everyday a true retreat. Lovely property. We watched dolphins, stingrays, and even a few manatees!! A definite a memory we hope to repeat.

Great home for family gathering
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hemingway House in April. The home was perfect for our family gathering; enough room for everyone to relax and enjoy beautiful Marco Island. The house was clean, well stocked with everything needed for our stay, to cook & to entertain and the pool area is lovely. I contacted the owner before and after with questions, she responded promptly and addressed our issues immediately. A really nice place to stay with the whole family.
