MISLEADING LISTING
We booked this property based on beautiful listing photos and a peaceful lakefront promiseâbut what we arrived to was completely different. The yard was cluttered with garbage, debris, and overgrown weeds. There was even old carpeting dumped near the lake, and the firepit area was so overgrown it was unusable. The exterior of the house was poorly maintained, and although itâs technically lakefront, the area around the lake was in such disrepair it couldnât be safely or comfortably enjoyed.Inside, the home had a strong musty odor, and overall felt neglected and uncomfortable. The photos on the listing did not align to what we saw when we got there. To make matters worse, there were two RVs parked on the property with people staying in them, which was never mentioned in the listing and made the environment feel unpredictable and unwelcoming.When we tried to resolve this directly with the host, she was dismissive, defensive, and unwilling to acknowledge any of the misrepresentation. She shifted blame and made no effort to address the situation fairly.We left immediately and are now pursuing a resolution through VRBO. This listing does not reflect the reality of the property, and the lack of support from the host made a bad situation worse. I strongly recommend others avoid this property and look elsewhere.
