Perfect accommodation to visit Yosemite
We spend 4 days at the property and really enjoyed our stay! The house is loaded with anything we needed! The cooling system works well and kept us chill during the heat wave. Bedrooms and bathrooms are nice and well equipped as well! Would definitely recommend

Overall good experience
The inside of the property was clean and met all of our needs for 4 adults (2 comfy beds and 2 full baths) with nice kitchen, dining and living areas. The outside, surrounding area left much to be desired, but was ok for a short stay if you plan to spend your time indoors.

No real heat in dead of winter
House was clean, plenty of room. But tv was for a technically savy person, not me. Only space heaters which wasn't adequate for dead of winter in a 1940s 2x4

Excellent stay at Buckeye & Boulders
This place was perfect for a family with kids. Lots to do in the house (books, games, internet) and lots of property to walk around on. Fully appointed, nearby grocery and restaurants, less than an hour to Yosemite valley. I really hope we get to stay here again!!

Great long weekend in mariposa
This place is more spacious than it looks. The kitchen as a ton of counter space, the laundry area is large, and the rooms are also big. The beds are comfortable too. The only con for me is that the guest bathroom shower is very small. Other than that, this place was great. Lots of extra blankets and towels, and a VHS collection I haven’t seen in 20 years. Fun games and toys for small children, the backyard is also pleasant and easy to spend time in. The heaters all work well and over all the house is cozy and comfortable.

Perfect 10
My husband and I spent 6 days in this lovely home. Quiet, good location and had everything one would need. It even had a washer and dryer. We saw more deer and beautiful birds in the yard than we saw in Yosemite!

Outside is trashy
The outside of the rental looks like a shanty town. It was very hot when we arrived, 96F. There is no central AC. It’s a large attic fan but it was not on. It took all night to cool the house. The tv, dvd, & firestick did not work. Good thing there was Uno!

Cute Cabin about an hour from Yosemite
This adorable cabin’s setting was fairly isolated and remote which may be too rural for some travelers. Cabin interior was roomy, rustic and cozy. The property manager was very prompt and replied quickly to any questions. We enjoyed bird and deer watching daily from the covered patio. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Great Mariposa Spot
The house was just as described and fit our family perfectly. The kids liked climbing the boulders and playing in the yard and it was easy to access town. The owner responded quickly to questions before our arrival. We would definitely stay again if we get back to the area.

Family Friendly
There were a few glitches upon our arrival but we eventually settled into a lovely week of visiting friends, doing some work, hiking, lovely walks and great meals. As a former resident of the area, I would say classic Mariposa experience.

Private cabin close to Yosemite
Wonderful cabin! Very private but not scary-isolated. 2 bedrooms 2 baths were perfect for 2 couples + 1 toddler. The drive to Yosemite is about 45 minutes 1-way, and after each day of hiking we had more than enough hot water and towels in the home. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates/utensils/zip lock bags/coffee/etc. The front and back yard is enormous and there are fun boulders to climb in the backyard. The only thing we missed was a fire pit for smores, but otherwise 10/10.

Delightful holiday home. Very comfortable for our family with excellent facilities
Our family of 4 adults and two children had a wonderful stay in this delightful holiday home on a small acreage. Well located just out of Mariposa town centre. It was perfect for our family and we could feel the warmth and love. Everything was there and more including decorated delightfully with great thought and very comfortable. Loved the deer in the garden, the birds and animals - quite a sight for us Aussies. Truly a lovely experience. Highly recommended for a great getaway and well situated for visiting Yosemite National Park. Folden family - Australia

Best of Both Worlds
Staying right in Yosemite Park has it's drawbacks, so we were happy to find this home closer to downtown Mariposa, and then drive 1 hour into the park for the day. We really enjoyed our stay here! It is nicely furnished. There is a Master bdm with king bed and ensuite bathroom, a queen bdm, and a nook with a trundle bed and privacy curtain, located in a large laundry space with washer & dryer. Great sleeping space for kids. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots & pans and mixers, etc. and lots of counter space (beautiful granite counters.) And check out the HUGE boulders in their back yard! There are games and videos in a large cabinet, and a hallway nook for reading (along with a curiously large collection of Cowboy Poetry!) It's in a rural setting, and we passed the property once before spotting the address and "Buckeye & Boulders" sign, but it's only a minute from Hwy 49 and a few minutes into Mariposa. We would definitely rent this house again!

Great Home Base
This property was exactly what we were looking for when visiting Yosemite. Directions and check-in instructions were easy to follow. Home is out in the country but 5 minutes from Mariposa which has everything you need. The house has everything you need as well. We loved sitting on the side porch sipping a cold one, watching the birds, quail, turkeys, and one deer. Getting to Yosemite valley can be a challenge for people like me not used to driving on winding roads. Pro-tip would be to take the YARTS bus to Yosemite. 12 bucks round trip from Mariposa park and ride. Takes about 90 minutes. We wanted to see some Sequoia trees, but Mariposa Grove closed. Went to King's Canyon, about 2.5 hour trip one way, but worth it. The drive to Oakhurst is picturesque. Mariposa has a nice grocery store that had everything we could ever need, so don't go crazy trying to stock up before you get there. Would definitely stay again if ever back in the area.
