Other things to note
Important Information About Driving:
Our cabin is located in the mountains of North Carolina, where the roads can be steep, narrow, and winding, especially on gravel or dirt roads. During the winter months, snow and ice can make the roads even more hazardous.
All roads are well maintained by the full time staff but remember these are mountain roads and mountain driving conditions.
Most cars of all sizes can easily drive the roads in the spring and summer, but we strongly advise 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles in the winter. If you do not have a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle, you may not be able to access the property.
Weather in the mountains can change quickly. In the event of a severe winter storm, we may need to cancel your reservation for your safety. If we do need to cancel your reservation, we will do so as soon as possible and provide you with a full refund.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we believe that it is important to put the safety of our guests first. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Additional information:
1. Ensure that your vehicle is suitable for driving on a gravel/dirt road.
2. We recommend that you check the weather forecast before heading to our cabin. If there is a chance of inclement weather, please be prepared to reschedule your reservation.
3. If you are driving to our cabin during inclement winter weather, please slow down and use caution. Allow extra time for your trip and be prepared for the possibility of road closures.
