The Blue Crab - Matagorda Bay - Colorado River

Located right on the Colorado River in Matagorda, Texas.

This 3 bedroom and 2 bath home sleeps up to 10. Bedroom 1 & 2 - both have queen beds, Bedroom 3 - has twin bunk beds & queen bed. Sunroom facing river - has full-size futon, and perfect for morning coffee, or sunset drinks.

Large spacious deck to watch the sunset, or the occasional dolphins in the river, along with plenty of grass space below, with a spacious dock for fishing, or pulling your boat right up.

Beach access is just down the road, which you can drive right on the beach.

Be sure to throw a crab trap in the river to catch a native, Texas blue crab, while relaxing, and making wonderful memories here at The Blue Crab!

Christmas at the Blue Crab
Outstanding! Dolphins swam by daily, fishing and crabbing from the dock was fabulous! The house was bigger and nicer than we expected! Host was fabulous and even added a Christmas tree! Will be back!

Great Getaway

Great stay, we had a blast. House was nice and clean. Caught lots of Gaf-Top.
A few hiccups with the door not closing and the fire alarm going off at 6 am. Our host was ready available to handle the problems and nice to work with. A couple of things Paul needs to know are: We did change the A/C filter, it was really dirty. I had to empty the dishwasher and the dryer upon our arrival. We would definitely stay here again.

The Blue Crab was a perfect spot for our annual family vacation. There was plenty of room for 10 including adult kids and littles. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we might have needed. The patio and fishing pier kept us from spending much time indoors. The only complaint i have is the water pressure was too low for even 1 shower at a time.

Family Vacation
Loved staying at the Blue Crab, water pressure upstairs was low and a mild case of sugar ants got in some of our food but was minor. Loved having the washer and dryer and the sun room was perfect for our early riser grand daughter to play in so others could sleep and a perfect place for morning coffee! Host were so nice to communicate with. The living room was nice and spacious for the kids to play. Will consider staying again in the future!

Great Place for the Family
Our family spent a week fishing the river and visiting the beach. The house was clean and well kept. The dock was perfect for fishing and dropping in some crab traps. We would definitely love to stay here again!
