The location was excellent as it had direct access to and a beautiful clear view of the Kaaba. Unfortunately, with the exception of salads, the hotel restaurants did not have a significant number of vegan options.

Over all an excellent stay. Breakfast buffet was the best. About the room: -booking mentioned partially view, unfortunately it was less than a partial view, i would sell the room as partial view. The Kaaba was not in view, the haram outer space was. Room amenities are good, but for a booking of 4, only 2 toileteires were given. we had to keep asking for refills. the staff and reception staff all were very nice and polite and helpful. they also offered wheel chair for my mother. Samir, hafiz, hussain- servers from Atayaf restaurant were extremely on point and good. they offered us special Karak Chai and went above and beyond to set up the table for my older parents. highly recommend these 3 for employee of the year awards, donot loose them!

Fairmont needs to do quality control here
Fairmont hotels dropped the ball at this location. Upon entering the room there was a weird smell. The bathroom smelled disgusting. I don’t know it was due to lack of cleanliness or the building has a huge plumbing problems.l which I think it’s the latter. Once we told the front desk they immediately sent people over and they sprayed stuff and odor was gone. The service people were trying their best. So no complaints about them. Overall the integrity of that very tall building was my concern. The room smelled moldy which was weird as it’s a desert, it’s not like humidity is an issue. Then we observed plumbing problems here and there. Other than that of course the location is not beatable and that’s the reason we stayed there. Three stars are for the service people and the location

Very comfortable hotel, close to the Kaaba
Amazing hotel. Our stay was very comfortable. Location of the hotel is so good, very near to the Kaaba. Hotel staff is very good and helpful. Mr. Muhammed at the reception was very kind and helpful. Room service staff and staff at the breakfast area is amazing and always helpful. Over all atmosphere in the hotel is wonderful and very peaceful.

Overall stay was really good. I booked three gold suites and accidentally booked one suite as not gold and immediately tried to change it but the hotel did not let me. They did not reply to my numerous emails and kept asking me to send more emails when I called to share my concerns. This one mistake ruined the trip for many of the guests coming with me and I did not appreciate the hotel service at all.

This used to be my favorite hotel in Macca, as it's right infront of Kaba. But in my last 2 trips, it was horrible experience. Unprofessional staff, managers even make up things out of thing air, lie to cover up. I have shown image of bath room in terrible condition in gym and on dinning floor. Seems no one cares anymore for maintenance of this hotel. Housing keeping was terrible except R3. Don't get breakfast, not worth it.
