You'll be surrounded by friendly farm animals and every dollar helps them get the love and care they need. It is truly heaven on earth for animal lovers! Close to everything, 10mi to restaurants, grocery stores, drug stores, everything you need.
We are conveniently located less than an hour's drive to Jacksonville, Gainesville, St Augustine, High Springs, Ocala, more! Catching a Gator game? Stay with us only 30 min from campus, away from the craziness of town in a private, peaceful place. It is an easy drive on scenic roads with NO traffic!
Rooterville Animal Sanctuary offers a terrific location on a paved road. This is an amazing and unique place for animal lovers of all ages to kick back, relax and unwind while making memories that will last a lifetime with friendly farm animals. Sanctuary admission is included ($45 per family per day). Bring treats for the animals or buy them in our gift shop. Don't forget to pick up a Roo-venir while you're there too.
The home has a fully equipped kitchen with electric range and oven, dishwasher (just rinse dishes and leave them in the sink is fine), refrigerator with icemaker and water on the door, washer/dryer and anything you could want or need.
Extra toiletries, hair dryers and first aid kits are under the bathroom sinks.
The master bedroom boasts premium matresses on a split king adjustable bed with massage. His and her sinks and big, roomy shower. Luxury linens throughout. Walkin closet, ironing board and iron.
The second bedroom has a premium queen mattress and the second bath has a tub and shower combination. The home has everything you might need. If anything is missing, just ask!
Need to go off property? There is a bike trail only 2.5 miles away and plenty of lakes to visit, Goldhead State Park is a hop skip and jump away. We are less than an hour from Jacksonville, High Springs, St Augustine, Ocala and Gainesville if you have business to conduct or want to enjoy attractions in any of those places. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, too. The University of Florida is only 45 min away by car with many attractions there to take in including the magnificent Butterfly Rainforest. Our butterfly garden is nearly as spectacular, teaming with native butterflies, a caterpillar nursery and two hives of honey bees. It is an incredible sight in the morning especially!
If you love nature and animals, a stay at Rooterville Animal Sanctuary will be a dream come true. We offer a beautiful seating area near the cow and horse barn that enjoys magnificent sunsets, a perfect spot for a glass of wine at the end of the day. There is a playground there as well with fun things for kids. NO TV in the home, WIFI is available but not guaranteed. Wav-link piggies23 is the login info.
No smoking or pets are allowed in our home. We love animals and we hate it that we cannot let them enjoy your stay too. This is our animal's home and our Anatolian Shepherd guard dogs could kill or injure your pet, please don't bring it into their home. This includes service animals, we don't want to risk a tradgedy.
