I received a call early in the day of my arrival from Cranberry Inn, telling me that I would be in "Cabin 5," that the door would be open and the key would be on the "kitchen table." I arrived at 8 PM. There was no "cabin." There was a motel-type unit. There was no "kitchen table." Fine. Unit 5 was open. No one else was around. The office was closed. It seemed quiet and secluded, even though it was just off the highway.
At 1 AM, someone woke me by violently pulling and pushing on the door, trying to get in!! I yelled, asking what was going on. Someone told me through the door that he had been given unit 5. I assured him that I had written down "Cabin 5" when I had been called to confirm my stay. He insisted he had been told the same thing. After much back and forth, he said that he would just see if there was an unlocked unit and stay there.
I certainly could not sleep again for the rest of the night. Terrible management.
