We had read a few reviews on hotel Mec and where a little apprehensive but we neednt have worried. Lovely clean room, small bathroom but all we needed. Ample food for breakfast and comfy bed. Thats all i need. Transport on the doorstep made this a great choice for us and a couple of great restaurants very close by

Great cheap stay, but a little little out the centre if you’re looking to stay locally. It’s an 18 min tram to duomo

A bit rundown but clean and convenient

Great service but the walls are thin and it was a bit noises at night. The bathroom says they use a silent fan but there was mildew on the ceiling. Could stand to be updated but we paid a decent price considering how close the the city center we were. Front desk staff was very helpful.

Overall, it was okay. I still think the price is a bit high for the facility and compared to what you get in a more central location. Not a fancy hotel, but very clean and not far from the metro. The woman doing the breakfast is the super star of the hotel: smiling, singing and advising to eat the fruit salad that she freshly prepared. Be careful as the city tax of 4€ can only be paid by cash

Nice and comfortable, in an excellent location

Although the staff at the front desk can be somewhat gruff, the hotel is very nice, in an excellent location off the beaten path, has a very nice breakfast with very nice staff, and is in good and clean condition. It is not far from some great restaurants, a metro station, city buses and trams, and is very accessible to Milan-Linate airport via city bus. I will most likely stay here again in future trips.

Out of the heavy tourist area

The hotel is not is the tourist area. It is four metro stops to the Duomo and a 10 min walk to the metro. The checkin was easy and they spoke English. The single room is very small but fine for a couple of nights. The room and linens are a bit old. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast was minimal even by European standards but one plus they made fresh coffee of your choice. On the walk to the metro there are two grocery stores so that was convenient to get water and some snacks. They want cash at checkout for the city tax. They have a sign at checkin so you should remember to have Euros.

Hotel room was nice, always cleaned very well, some noise outside at night from trams/cars and could occasionally hear other guests late at night returning to their room or when their TV was on. Nice restaurant across the street and access to a nearby bank and convience store. There is also a tram stop nearby for quick access to the city. Wifi was good most of the time but occasionally would slow down quite a lot for a minute or two

Great value for a Milan hotel.

Great value, close to major transport links. Not in the center but Porta Romana is a good area for bars and restaurants. The Duomo is 10 minutes by subway but you could walk it in 25 mins.
