Unit I booked wasn’t available
I called the host to get checkin information and he said he no longer owned the property. This was on Christmas Day and we were scheduled to check in that night.This left my family scrambling to find somewhere to sleep on Christmas night.

Cabin in the swamps
Disappointed no Wi-Fi no TV but other than that if you’re a good look reader bring a couple books relax it’s peaceful except for the trains going by constantly blowing the horn waking you up in the middle of the morning it was hell

Perfect little escape for me. I love the outdoors and fishing. I enjoyed visiting with my daughter and grandson and made wonderful memories with them. I was unable to locate via GPS, but Mike was a phone call away to help save the day. I appreciate his hospitality and patience. I hope to revisit soon.

Baseball weekend getaway
Property was beautiful and tucked away to give you the privacy and quietness to have a nice R and R stay. Getting to property was a little tricky but Mike was just a call away to help us out. It was nice to be able to launch our boat near by to enjoy the beautiful bayou and do a little fishing. It was a nice getaway for a baseball and boating filled weekend.

Authentic Louisiana Experience!!!
We loved this place! It is really in the swamp! The porch was a perfect place to watch the teens play volleyball in the yard. The ball went in the edge of the water a couple times but they love this place!

Beautiful setting on the Bayou
My husband, myself and three of our adult children spent a long weekend at this house. The purpose of our trip was to welcome a new baby into our family. The new parents, our son, and his wife live nearby. We are a close family but unfortunately, we all live in different parts of the country. This house was perfect for our needs, it was clean and well equipped. We spent every wonderful morning and evening sitting on the deck relaxing and enjoying the fantastic scenery and each other's company. We loved it and hated to say goodbye. There is one small thing I need to mention; there are two bedrooms with two nice size beds however, the description stated the house will accommodate 5 people. We couldn't figure out where our daughter could sleep. We contacted the owner and were told there was a blow-up air mattress in the closet, but there was no bedding we could find. Fortunately, our son brought over some sheets and blankets. Other than that glitch everything was great.

Amazing vacation spot
I was on a work trip but for my family this was a vacation. The cabin was super cute and clean. The accommodations were more than adequate for four adults and two kids. We had brought our own kids sleeping arrangements and there was more than enough space for a portable crib in the bedrooms. The view from the property was amazing and it was especially fun to sit on the patio at night and listen to the animal sounds. My kids fished and fed ducks. The owner was super accommodating due to the road being covered in water and even let us use a vehicle so we could get into the property from another parking lot, so our vehicle could stay safe. Will definitely be staying again

Best getaway location ever!
If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing place to get away....look no further! This was the goal in looking for a place and the pictures are intriguing but don’t do it justice until you arrive. We did as another reviewer did and went down the wrong road. Mike came out and met us and showed us how to get there (make a right as soon as you go under the railroad tracks...lol). I was nervous about being able to get down the road to the house after reading the reviews, but if my Toyota Camry made it down then anyone can. Just be careful. After maneuvering the road and coming out at the end to the house ours mouths just dropped open! Wow! We knew immediately that this was the place for us! It is secluded and surrounded on three sides by the beautiful Bayou with Cypress trees. Upon entering the house we were amazed at how clean and beautifully decorated it is. Home away from home. We didn’t have to take linens, towels, dishes, etc. because it was all supplied. We were fine without cable or internet. The point was to get away and relax. As long as my phone was on mobile I still had access anyway. We took our own blue ray player and movies in case we wanted to watch something late at night. I loved not having constant news reports on cable because that was getting depressingly which is another reason why we wanted to get away! During out stay we would stand at the railing overlooking the Bayou and wishing we didn’t have to leave to go back home. We are definitely contemplating making a trip here an annual thing! Thank you Mike and wife for making this such a great trip!

Great Bayou Stay
We had a great time staying here. Mike was very helpful and quick to respond. The property is right on the bayou and is a great location. True cabin living. We had a great time relaxing on the porch and fishing. Was kind of nice to have no cable or internet and just hang out. The water was down a little but Mike worked out a bayou tour for all of us and had a great time. If you’re looking for a getaway in the bayou, this is the place to go. Will stay again.

Lovely surprise
After going the wrong way and wondering what we’d gotten into, it was a lovely surprise to arrive and find this attractive home in a lovely bayou setting. The cypress trees with Spanish moss, the green lawn and friendly ducks charmed us all. The house was just as described and quite comfortable for my daughter and her family as well as for the little birthday party we had there. The road getting there was a bit tricky, but it wasn’t a long driveway, and the scene at the end was well worth it. Thank you for this lovely stay! :)

Lousiana Bayou Living at it's best...
Really clean Cabin. Great View. It is real Louisiana Bayou Living. Beautiful Cypress Trees. Owner needs to do a little work on the driveway. Good thing I had a truck to get in and out out with. Will consider staying here again in the future.

Great home on the bayou!
We made a last minute trip for Christmas to visit my son who is stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base (about 30 minutes away). Mike and his family were very accommodating. There was flooding in the area and the home was no longer accessible by car. Mike alerted us right away and offered us a boat to use. It was quite the adventure! His wife even put up Christmas decorations for us! We had a very enjoyable Christmas on the bayou thanks to Mike’s hospitality!

Very Accomodating
Mike was a great host and had everything we needed when we arrived. It was a long day of riding in the rain to get there so it was great to just get dry, cook supper, and relax. We are already planning our next trip. Hopefully with less rain this time.

Sweet-beautiful.
We will stay here again. Pack your food park and relax. There is a wal-mart down the road if you need it. We have an Air Man that was in need of getting off base. He got to fish with his dad. Clean place to stay. Just made good memories. The owner is great about getting back to you via text. I would love to see a swing on the back deck next trip. I couldn’t ask for a better place.

Great place. Beautiful location.
We had a couple of days off between work events and really wanted to experience bayou living...this place filled the bill for sure. House was clean and roomy, deck was huge and the view was awesome. We fished, kayaked and collected wild blackberries. Great time. Mike and his wife were very accommodating. Def recommend and would stay here again.

Hidden Gem!
Pictures do not do this property justice! We came for our son's fishing tournament on the Red River and wanted a place outside of Shreveport to unwind. The property owner Mike, his family and neighbor went above and beyond to show us an awesome time! We were having so much fun, we almost stayed an extra day! Very cozy and peaceful, if you like nature you'll love this place and these people!!
