I really liked the person at the front desk, he was super friendly. We got up to our room and it was very clean and welcoming. The price was very affordable as well. This will be my top choice for hotels when I’m in the Minneapolis area.

The Disabled room was so far away from the elevator if there was a fire the nearest exit is a staircase which i can traverse. you might want to rethink the layout of the hotel.

Our room was great. We traveled with our dog. The room was much smaller than the pictures. We were also charged a service fee. It would have been nice to see and know these things upon booking.

Just minutes from the state fairgrounds.
Parking lot well lite, appreciate that! Room had excellent room darkening shades. A nice shower good water pressure. Was on the first floor, nice to not have to haul bags around. Place was quite. Plan to stay here again!

Modern hotel --know that a deposit is charged
Nice location, modern sparse furnishings. Not as cozy feeling as the Residence Inn, which is right next door. However, Avid had some nice features: Clean hotel, had everything we needed. Comfy bed, wonderful shower pressure. The heat/cool was a bit temperamental, but we managed and slept well. We appreciated having a room near the elevator. Hotel was quiet. Breakfast featured a breakfast sandwich, yogurt, fruit, cereal, bread/muffins. I liked the freshly ground coffee. Plenty of seating in breakfast area. Friendly staff. Be aware of the $50 deposit initially charged. This was credited to our stay upon our departure.
