NewYears Eve, Friends and Fisherman’s Cottage Special Magic…
Once again we were greeted by the magic of Fisherman’s Cottage… Liz and Lee made us feel so welcome… Our first night we made dinner and found everything we needed in the well stocked kitchen, Watched a little football and slept perfectly…Next day did a little shopping, Boat ride, had dinner at Pisces Rising, then had great seats to watch the Fireworks at midnight… It was the perfect way to Ring in 2025 in Mt. Dora at Fisherman’s Cottage !!!

“Reely”Whopper of a Time-Nothing to Crab About Here!
This cottage is one of the best places which we have had the pleasure to stay! The hosts, Liz and Lee, create an atmosphere of fun, comfort, and delight! They are conscientious communicators and very clear and thorough with their communications about check in, etc. It is exceptionally clean, beautifully and uniquely decorated, and it offers anything a traveler might need while there. It is within easy walking distance to downtown Mt. Dora (with its fun shopping and restaurant areas), in a quiet neighborhood, and within easy driving distance the public library and to Publix if one is inclined to eat in. There are two screened in porches - front and back - both with chairs and side tables. I believe you will not be disappointed if you decide to book this place! It’s an experience in itself!

A Dream Staycation
We are from South Florida and have always used Mount Dora as a local staycation getaway. Having not been back in 20 years, I was so pleased to find the Historic District not only maintained, but the quaint downtown protected from large big box retail and restaurants. Complimenting that are the 3 homes owned by Liz and Lee. We stayed at The Fisherman's Cottage, an easy 1/2 mile walk to the downtown. Liz was not only easily reachable leading up to the stay and during, but she also helped us plan locations for romantic dinners and "local" things a tourist would not otherwise know to ask for. Thanks again Liz. You made our anniversary weekend magical, romantic, and felt like we were staying in our own private getaway cottage. We will definitely be staying at their properties again.

Relaxing and convenient
What a beautiful home and neighborhood. So close to beautiful historic downtown Mt. Dora we just pulled in the driveway and walked everywhere we had to go. Liz and Lee are amazing from the moment you book with them Liz is wonderful with keeping you informed of what there is to do around town.We just got home and already booked with Liz and Lee for our next stay at another one of their homes.

As usual, Liz and Lee have provided another 5-star experience!!! They have 3 houses, that I know of, and ALL are excellent. If you haven't experienced one of their properties before, get ready to relax and enjoy the totally perfect, small-town Florida stay...in style. Absolutely immaculate, yet homey. Modern, comfy furniture, incredible beds, spa towels, everything you need in the kitchen...just every amenity you might need, period. Short walk to town on quiet, oak-lined streets. It's like being in yesteryear. Including a welcome note and fresh eggs. Unheard of!!! This artistic immersion, which is sea life themed, is a delight. The artwork and decorations are simply amazing. How wonderful to be able to experience artists from around the world while lounging in a rental. Par for the course for these hosts. To think that for the cost of a hotel room you get an entire home filled with delightful artwork. This place even boasts large front & back porches. This place is definitely a prize catch! Thanks Liz and Lee for always making everything so smooth and easy. You always provide an unmatched stay.

This is the most amazing rental I have ever had the pleasure of staying. There was nothing we could have wanted in the house that was not available. The artwork throughout the house was over the top! Fish of all kinds were the focal point: almost too many to take in. The owner, Liz, was incredible. My only disappointment was not meeting her in person!

Liz and Lee, Your cottage is AMAZING … but, more than that, so is your hospitality. From the personal, handwritten welcome note and fresh eggs to the fun supplies (touchless trash can and polka-dot dishes!) to the signature sea-life decor, you ensure your guests with countless smiles. A close look at the home accessories gives a true appreciation of the artists’ skills. All that, PLUS front and back SCREENED porches!! This is probably the most charming, organized, well-stocked, clean, and interesting vacation rentals we’ve experienced. The historic Fisherman’s Cottage sits on a quiet street, within an easy walk to town. New Years in Mt. Dora
We have Forever Friends that had never been to Mt. Dora, We try to celebrate each New Years Eve together… This year we rented The Fisherman’s Cottage and the four of us all fell in Love the minute we opened the door… From the Marine Art throughout the cottage, to the kindness of our hosts, the City of Mt. Dora then add in the fantastic fireworks… We had the perfect New Years Getaway!!! Thank you Lisa and Lee for letting us share our holiday with you at your very special Fisherman’s Cottage…

Go on… open the front door & look inside. It’s like opening a surprise present. Liz is incredibly talented has spot on taste & contacts with people who create the most incredible one of a kind art pieces for her homes. Their 3 homes range in size & each have a different decor & vibe. Dive deep into The Fisherman’s Cottage, a home that is fully stocked with thoughtful green products & top of the line appliances. The home is sparkling clean, so inviting & downright fun. We love the easy walk to Mount Dora’s downtown. That way you always have a parking spot & get a little exercise at the same time. Liz & Lee think of everything & go out of their way to make sure your stay is special. You won’t want to leave, you will want to stay lost at sea in the Fisherman’s Cottage!

In all of Mount Dora, Liz and Lee’s rentals are where we love to stay. We have never been disappointed! Pictures can’t tell the full story because The Fisherman’s Cottage is full of jaw dropping fantasy decor of the sea. Whimsical and interesting every place you look. Their homes are always comfortable, well appointed, fresh and sparkling clean with plenty of extras for the vacationer. Liz thinks of everything to make your stay fun and surprising & is the consummate host! The cottage is an easy stroll to the downtown area where the shops and restaurants beckon.
