Hilton but not Hilton
We spent 5 days in this hotel.
It claims to be a five star but doesn’t live up to that. Some of the staff was extraordinary nice, while others just seemed bored of tourists.
The welcoming was great despite the rainy weather. Umbrellas and sheltered vehicles were there to take care of our luggage.
But there were some things missing in the room, for example schampoo and a hair dryer. We got it, but you shouldnt have to ask for elementary things like that. A hand rail was broken in the bathroom and the balcony lock did not work.
The music in restaurant Nuku was so loud that one could barely hear what your company said. The last night we found the ”adults only” restaurant Koru in the vast hotel area. That restaurant was fantastic and I wish that we had found it before. But it was far away from our room and it took about 10 -15 minutes by the hotels transport vehicle to reach it. At the checkout in the morning I asked for a receipt for extras I had to pay for. The receptionist said that everything is in the envelope I got. Since it was a queu in the morning I didn’t check it before I was in the taxi on my way to the airport. The receipt had no details about what I spent during those 5 days, only the total sum. This is not professional. You should check with the customer if he agrees with the costs and give a detailed receipt.
Very good was the AirPort service - you could checkin to the fligt and leave your luggage at the hotel, which perfectly arrived in your destination.
