This is a lovely small hotel in the Centre of Nantes.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a good size and have super comfortable beds. This is our second visit as we were passing back through the city on our holiday and we loved it the first time. Breakfast in the dining room is very good including local jams, cheeses, fruits etc. Definitely would recommend.
Beautiful little hotel in the city. Loved the closeness of food, restaurants and shopping. Clean, quaint rooms, wonderful reception and felt very safe and loved the vibe. Only there one night but would have stayed more.
Close to everything
Street noise typical for France but still annoying
Staff great

Great location but needs air-conditioning
The location in the center of Nantes is perfect for exploring the city on foot or by using some public transport. The front desk staff were very helpful. They gave me a map of the center of the city and pointed out places of interest. My only criticism was that my room had no air-conditioning only a fan to keep cool. It was a very hot night and I had a hard time sleeping because of the heat.
Location of the hotel is great - a minute from the opera square. All staff very helpful and pleasant. The room and bathroom were a little on the small side, but very clean.
We really enjoyed this hotel. The staff was lovely and the location is perfect. We booked an attic room, which I would do again, but just know that there is essentially only a bathtub because you cannot stand up to shower due to the slant of the ceiling. This was no problem for me because I enjoy baths.
We stayed in Nantes for 3 days during a tour of Northern France and I'm glad we chose the Voltaire Opera Hotel. The hotel is a short walk to city centre shopping and there are loads of great restaurants and bars close by. I would particularly recommend La Cigale restaurant for it's amazing food and art deco interior. The hotel staff are all welcoming and friendly and all spoke perfect English which was really helpful when we got our car locked into the nearby car park and didn't know who to contact to get it out. Thank you to the gentleman on reception who helped us! We will definitely stay here again when we're next in the area.
