We are located in the quiet, “off the beaten path” Sunset Shores neighborhood which features access to the Salt Pond for launching our kayaks and a community dock for taking in the sunsets. Our house is perfect for a summer week at the shore or year-round getaways.
Sunset Shores neighborhood is the ideal location to enjoy all that Narragansett has to offer. The neighborhood is somewhat hidden, 2 minutes drive off main route 108 to the shores of the Salt Pond. The neighborhood is welcoming and gives you the relaxing feeling of being at the shore. Beaches are close with the choices of Scarborough (one mile), Roger M Wheeler (2 miles) or Narragansett Town Beach (6 miles). There are many top notch restaurants ranging from seafood shacks to fine dining within minutes. (We’ll be glad to share our favorites!) Grocery stores and other shopping are also close by. The local area has many opportunities for being active with tennis, pickle ball, and basketball courts plus trails for walking/running and biking, and of course kayaking steps from the house. We love this neighborhood as it has all you need for a great stay minutes away but its also a central location if you want to do day trips to other parts of Rhode Island including Providence, Block Island, Jamestown, Newport and Misquamicut/Watch Hill. The Point Judith Ferry terminal to Block Island and Newport, RI is two miles away.
Our home, situated 200 feet from the Salt Pond and community dock, is perfect for groups that want to stay at a house that is well outfitted and comfortable. Our three level, modern home is a “reverse” floor plan to maximize the views and integrate indoor and outdoor living. This is the vacation home that we use ourselves so we have furnished it with everything you need for a comfortable stay with updated high quality furnishings and a kitchen outfitted for those that like to cook and entertain. The kitchen is well stocked with flour, sugar, spices, cooking oils and kitchen tools to make a family meal. We make every effort to keep the home maintained and attend to guests needs.
