Cottage close to Town

The cabin is a sweet space to unplug and reconnect with those you love. Originally built in 1790 this cabin was once the beloved home of James Rankin a revolutionary war veteran. Set up like a studio apartment, you have a kitchenette and open floor space concept. It’s located on 5 acre shared lot with creek access and fire pit. Here at the cabin you get the best of both worlds a COUNTRY-LIKE retreat but are also conveniently close to town. Just a 5 minute drive to the nearest grocery and shopping center and only 20 minute from downtown Nashville. Explore all the local music, shopping and festivals or come here to unplug and unwind. Great place for fall and spring
It's a great historic cabin that has been well maintained. We appreciated the spices, coffee, sugar and all the little extras that you might forget while traveling. It was not quite as remote as we were expecting as there was another cabin right next door. There were also quite a few houses and it was off a pretty busy road. It was pretty chilly as there is not great insulation especially in the bathroom. It would helpful to have more blankets or throws to cuddle up in to keep warm and a space heater that does not keep turning off. It would also be great to have a curtain on the bathroom window to maintain privacy from anyone else that might be on the property. The cabin was close to the main shopping and eating area in Hendersonville.

The cabin was so cute and cozy! Everything we needed was there for coffee, toiletries, towels. There was nothing we needed that wasn't there! The care and character poured into the original cabin created an absolutely romantic and relaxing atmosphere. Simple and cozy
Slightly updated yet still has a historic feel. You can still see the marks where they cut out the timbers for the walls yet plumbing, electrical, and Wi-Fi/Internet have been added for modern convenience. Very neat and clean. I only wish we had more free time during our stay to enjoy the cabin and scenery more.
