Retreat at Clutter Falls on ainutlaatuinen räätälöity lomakoti, joka sijaitsee kalliolla Guadalupe-joen yläpuolella pienemmän vierastalon (ks. VRBO # 4970329) vieressä, alle kilometrin päässä Gruene-talosta ja 3 mailin päässä Schiltterbahnista. Näkymä on uskomaton ja talon alla sijaitsevat kosket (Clutter Falls) tarjoavat jatkuvan, rauhoittavan äänen, joka sulaa stressin. Nauti siitä kuistilta ja keinulta peitetyllä takakuistilla tai aurinkotuolen ylemmän kannen lepotuoleista.

Great family getaway
The property was clean, the listing photos were accurate, and it had great amenities. We particularly loved the view from the upper deck. Adding or updating the patio furniture on the upper deck would be a nice touch.

Cute house
The house itself is so cute! Bedrooms we only used 2 out of the 3 but they were all very comfortable. The balcony is great to sit out on, but the outdoor furniture needs some updating. It is pretty run down and I feel the outside is a big plus for the house so the fact that the out door furniture was run down was kinda disappointing. I’m putting this in here because I asked twice about early check in and was told to check the day of due to the cleaning crew. We were driving around 6 hours and trying to make dinner reservations. The towels in the bathrooms smelt like they were sour. So I was pretty disappointed by that. It is very close to everything so we enjoyed that. Overall it was a nice stay.

Lovely stay near Gruene
The house is conveniently located near Gruene and sits above the river. The patio provides a great setting to enjoy the sounds of the river peacefully in the morning. Everything was as stated in the listing. The kitchen has everything you need to utilize it for your needs fully. Bring shoes for the hot tub as it is down a rocky path. My only suggestion to the host is to consider providing extra towels for the hot tub and perhaps a couple of hooks near the hot tub to hang said towels. I suggest this location for your next stay!

Beautiful, peaceful neighborhood property
The house was clean and beautiful, the porches were wonderful. Yes, I noticed the worn arm on the upstairs balcony couch, but if it bothers someone, there are SO many other places to sit, and in one upstairs bedroom, a bed is against the wall.... but a twin bed would mean less sleeping room. I really wonder about some of these reviewers! The home is so welcoming and wonderful. The living areas, bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, well appointed and comfortable. There was a small amount of basics (a few rolls of paper goods, hand soaps, etc), making it feel more "home-y" than most VRBOs. We only used the downstairs bed, which was very comfortable; though we didn't use the others, they "felt" like good mattresses. The view and sound of the river from the balconies was wonderful. I understand why there is no access to the river, as it is far below and walk access to the river requires BOTH safe access AND ownership of the banks, which may not be the case. There were fresh eggs available for purchase across the road from a neighbor providing us a lovely breakfast several mornings of our stay. We could not have been more pleased with the property!

Lovely home
We had a ladies weekend and really enjoyed the property. The beds were comfy, the kitchen & living area spacious and views gorgeous. The only complaint I would have is the checkout time. There were 4 adults and we had to pack up the food we brought, load our cars, take out the trash, stack up the linens, etc. all by 10am. We felt like we were rushing around trying to get out in time.

Great views
The house is in a quiet residential area with many oak trees. It is on a cliff overlooking the Guadalupe River and featured great views of the surrounding area. The oak trees obstructed most of the view of the river, but we could hear the water rushing over rocks down below the patio. The towns of Gruene and New Braunfels were a short drive away. Our grandson's enjoyed playing PacMan and other arcane games in the living room.

The back porch, that is something pictures couldn’t do justice for. The back porch was incredible to play board games and hang out! Absolutely loved the property and would recommend anyone who loves to hang out outside with friends!

Great house in quiet neighborhood!
House was perfect for visiting Gruene and surrounding areas. Nice quiet neighborhood with a country feel. There was some dust and spiderwebs, but not too bad overall.

Nice - could use some attention to the outside area
The property is nice. I would emphasize that a little more attention to the patio area as it looked like the railing overlooking the river is showing signs of needing repair as the top boards have started to show sings of rotting even though they were recently painted and look to becoming loose. Over time they will begin to break away if not replace. Hot tub is a little small even to accommodate four adults. The chaise lounge seat takes away from being able to support two people in the tub. All around we were happy with the rental and the time we got to spend in Gruene.

Great Vacation
This is our second time at this property and we really love it! The house is close to Historic Gruene and New Braunfels and is located on a beautiful, quiet street. The views on the patio are amazing and the house has everything you need to make it feel like home away from home. We had such a great time and didn't want to leave!
