Welcome to The Summit Cowboy, New Braunfels, TX. Explore the amazing Texas Hill Country with an abundance of wild life and near by Guadalupe River, Canyon Lake and various music venues. You can enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine on the large outdoor patio and watch the deer in the backyard. You will not have to worry at “The Summit Cowboy” about weather hampering your vacation plans. Come enjoy the air conditioned barn which has been converted into your personal game/entertainment room with an eight foot pool table, 14 foot shuffleboard table and a competition ping pong table while watching your favorite sports game on the 75 inch flat screen TV with surround sound.

If you would like to stay for an extended period of time (weekly or monthly), please reach out and we would be happy to offer a weekly or monthly discounted rate.

AREA: It is in close proximity to all your favorite hill country destinations; only a half a mile to the Guadalupe River 4th Crossing on River Road and only minutes to the other float in areas such as the "Horseshoe". The home is a quick 10 minutes to Canyon Lake for boating and lake fun (plenty of room for boat parking in the driveway)

There is also plenty of local entertainment and live music close by, including Whitewater Amphitheater (which is only 3 miles away) and River Road Ice House. You are also just a short drive to New Braunfels and Gruene where you can enjoy shopping, Schlitterbahn Water Park, the Comal River and local festivals like Wurstfest and the famous Gruene Hall. Local wineries and dining are also plentiful!

The house is only 35 miles from San Antonio; home of The Alamo, Six Flags and the Riverwalk for great family day trips. Another great day trip is Fredricksburg, which is about an hour away. Wimberley is a quick 25 minute drive where you can enjoy Wimberley Market Days, dining at the Community Pizza and Creekhouse and shopping. For golf enthusiasts, there are courses located in Canyon Lake, New Braunfels, Seguin, and San Marcos.

Great for a family or friend group seeking a week of fun and exploration, this spacious vacation home on 4.40 acres is the ideal home base for nearby attractions in Comal County! Wind down in the evening in your private 6-person hot tub while watching your favorite sports game or listening to music on a 55 inch Roku TV nestled in the four seater bar. The adjacent air conditioned barn offers entertainment for the whole group with an eight foot pool table, 14 foot shuffleboard table and a competition ping pong table while watching your favorite sports game on the 75 inch flat screen TV with surround sound. Within the barn is a separate double queen, air conditioned/heated, bedroom and a separate bathroom.

Perfect weekend getaway!
We loved our stay at this property. It was a girls weekend. The house was even better than the pictures. Elizabeth was easy to work with and was very responsive. We loved all the little extra details, like the coffee bar, too! The beds were very comfortable, even the bunk beds! I have no complaints and it was all super easy. Definitely will be bringing the families back soon.

Family Birthday gathering
We had such an amazing time at The Cowboy summit! The property is a gem. We had all ages for this family stay from ages 5-70 and we all had a wonderful time! The Barn/bar was so much fun!! We got to see the moon and the stars through our telescope, we brought my travel solo stove and made s'mores, got in the hot tub, had some friendly battles of ping pong, fooseball and pool! Got to watch football in the barn/bar. Definitely plenty to do. The host, Elizabeth, was wonderful and we can't wait to go back. We have decided to make this an annual family thing:) 10/10 highly recommend. We amazing!thing.

Fun Family River Trip
The house was perfect for a multi-family getaway. The porch was very nice and had a constant breeze and with littles, it was so nice that it was fenced off. The party barn was a huge bonus and where we spent most all our time other than the porch! Tons of deer, plenty of games and just overall a nice place to gather. Host was very responsive and the location was easy to get to. The carpets were pretty worn but other than that it was a lovely home and we were happy with everything.

Family Reunion
Our group consisted of 5 adults and 5 teenagers. We had a wonderful time. The teenagers enjoyed the barn and the activities in the barn. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the equipment we needed. We had enough bathrooms and showers that we could all get ready for the day without crowding or waiting. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio watching the wildlife and enjoying with quite countryside.

This place has everything!
We had 5 young adults, 4 middle aged, and 2 seniors and this place was absolutely perfect! Plenty of space to sleep everyone, and the beds and pillows were super comfy (my mom actually took a photo of the pillow brand to buy one at home). The kitchen has everything you could possibly need: bar tools, grill tools, toaster, blender, Crockpot, XL air fryer, and a huge pantry to store all your food in. The bathrooms had plenty of towels, plus beach towels if you decide to go tubing. When the listing says you"might" see deer, it means you will 100% see many deer, as there is a automatic deer feeder and a trashcan full of deer corn for you to feed them, so they come around at least twice a day like puppies, staring at you to give them food. The location is quiet but not isolated or far from anything. And the game barn was perfect for our Family Olympics: corn hole, shuffleboard, ping pong, and billiards/pool. Elizabeth responded promptly when I texted her once or twice. Honestly, we all agreed that the place couldn't have been more perfect, and now we're talking about making it an annual event.

Family Getaway
We wanted someplace in the hill country that would be a neutral place to meet for a family holiday trip. This place did not disappoint! From the wonderful game room to the hot tub to all the deer roaming the property, we did not lack for something to do. Highly recommend this place for your family. It’s plenty close to all sorts of activities you might want to add to your trip but who wants to go anywhere else when you are already at a place that resembles a five star resort!

Our family loved this place. It was very clean and we appreciated all the attention to detail including simple things like tissue boxes, q-tips, face cloths for removing make up and more. Bro Trip With Games Galore
WOW not sure what else to say. If I could give it 10 stars I would. This location had EVERYTHING you would need. We have stayed at so many properties that we have had to haul things in like crockpots, toasters, and blenders. No need for that here. We brought our own blender and left on accident because the person cleaning up the kitchen put it away thinking it belonged there because of all of the supplies that were already stocked. A quick text and we were able to go back and get it. This was a great location to watch college football (even though the Aggies lost), play pool, wiffle ball and all the things. We were able to use outdoor tape and set up a pickleball court in the driveway and have a tournament that went well into the night. The hot tub came in handy after all of these activities. The outdoor barn area was amazing. There was plenty of space inside as well. If you need a getaway and want to have an all inclusive, then stay here. Bring your own food and drinks and you won't have to leave. The area is secluded and the pictures of the deer are not staged. They were not the least bit bothered by us. This brothers trip with friends was exactly what was needed. And the Texas weather cooperated, but even if it had not there was an easy rain/cold plan. We will be back! Thank you Elizabeth! One of the most responsive hosts we have ever had.

Family Matters
This property was perfect for our family to come together and spend some much needed time to connect and catch up with having to leave the property to have fun. Everything we needed for quality famiy bonding. We did have some scheduled activities we had to attend that pulled us away from the house which upset the grandkids. The barn/game room and back porch with hot tub and bar are the highlights, but the whole property is awesome. Was a great house for our group of friends watching football and playing games. All the beds are comfortable and there is plenty of room throughout the house. Communication with the host was excellent.

Family get-together for our son's wedding
House was very clean and perfect for our extended family. There was lots to do. The rooms worked out great. The pizza place up the road was amazing wish we had found it before our last day. We cut our trip a little short due to a death in the family at home. We had feed the deer every day and aways had lots of doe and fawns but no bucks. The morning after we had a beautiful buck walk straight up as soon as I put food out. We really felt like it was a gift from our uncle that loved hunting. That buck showed up each day after. We would definitely stay there again it was very nice and easy to get to... we loved the layout and property. Feeding the deer and the deck really was nice...

Family Vacation near Canyon Lake
Had a wonderful time with the family in this beautiful home. We had a weekend getaway with our adult children and we all had a great time. The house was beautifully furnished, very clean, kitchen was well stocked with all kitchen items you might need and the barn/entertainment area was so much fun for the whole family.
