It was very hard to just get daily clean towels and empty the garbage. The rooms had full kitchens so we sometimes reheated or cooked a little. It should be understandable to empty our garbage which contained food on a daily basis. It is a hotel. Breakfast was nice. Front desk and dinning room staff was friendly and helpful. The area around the hotel at night seemed a bit worrisome. The bus stop at the corner usually smelled of marijuana in the evening. During the day, the area looked safe and secure.

My wife and I made it to the hotel early morning around 0600 hours on 12/20. We booked for 12/19 because we had a late flight. I had messaged and called the hotel to inform them that I will check in late early morning. We met the front desk Eddie who was horrible at his job. The hotel canceled our reservations and expect us to double pay for the room. We had our 6 month old baby who was overly tired from the flight. Eddie purposely locked himself out of his computer and told us an another clerk will help his around 0700 hours. I booked through a third party and they were going to give me another hotel if they can confirm the hotel canceled our staff. Note that in their policy there was no time frame to checking in. Jenifer arrived and gave us our room back and took only 10 minutes. Eddie was very unprofessional and inconsiderate. How was he was able to make access to his computer until we started to discuss about our room situation. I felt he just did not want to deal with it and put it off to another employee that could have been resolved in minutes. Over all the room was okay and clean with. Breakfast staff was very nice and we thank Jennifer so much.

In some ways, this is a great place to stay; in others, it isn't. The location is ideal for those who want to be close to Canal Street, Bourbon Street, the street cars, and other amenities in the city without overpaying for your stay. We had a blast in the city, and this property's location greatly contributed to that. On the other hand, the hotel is downtown, situated directly in front of the library, a bus stop, and down the street from a housing project. Nothing happened to us, and we never felt unsafe. With that said, we absolutely will stay there again.

My room, 313, was spacious ans I loved that it was at the end of the corridor. However, as roomy as the space was, it had NO closet. The door to, what I presumed ahould have been the closet, had an extrs-large HVAC within it AND a significant unfurnished ceiling. Pipes, wires, open drywall were exposed. Not the visual I was hoping to see when I looked for a closet. Overall, not a twrrible stay!
