We absolutely loved our stay. I would recommend this hotel to others. We were able to walk to every location that was on our agenda. There are great restaurant choices within walking distance. We did not need to rent a car. We used the driving services from the airport and back to the airport. On a funnier note.... my husband and I experienced this Delicious Smell every night coming from two of the nearby restaurants. Let's just say that we made reservations two of the four days of our stay and the food was great!!!

Great location
The staff is absolutely wonderful. The bellman, Thomas, was so friendly and made us feel right at home. The location is ideal. Close enough to walk to streetcar lines and the French Quarter but no street noise. Plenty of nearby restaurants and shops.

Great boutique hotel
Hotel is in a great location. Walkable to the dome and also the French quarter. Our room was beautiful, clean and quiet. The reception staff was very nice and did a great job decorating the lobby for all of us Taylor Swift fans. The only bad comment I have is about a rude server in the cafe one morning. The woman the next morning was super sweet. I would stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay. We had breakfast with our room and I ate the shrimp & grits every day, they're so good. The staff was wonderful & warm. Rickey at the bar was extra entertaining and makes an awesome Ramos gin fizz!

I really enjoyed our stay. The staff were exceptionally courteous and responsive to our requests. A few offs... room was a bit musty, but we got used to it; there was an accidental fire alarm after we were asleep; the a/c stopped working, but the staff fixed it as soon as we reported it. Overall, an excellent experience. I would stay here again. Convenient to streetcar stop and restaurants.

Great experience! The room was very clean, spacious, room temp was perfect and the beds were Heavenly with a capital ‘H’. Staff was very welcoming. Convenient location near French quarter, but quiet. There was a little bit of construction in the outdoor yard, but I’m sure it will be lovely when done.

We LOVVVVED our stay at the St James hotel. It was literally a 2 minute walk to the French Quarter and everything was so convenient. Chophouse restaurant is right next door and supposedly has the best steak NOLA has to offer. We didn’t get a chance to eat there because the night we tried it was so busy. I’d recommend making a reservation. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Andrew and Cc were the best. The room was beautiful and really gave us that southern feel we were looking for. Housekeeping came every day to ask if we needed anything. We stayed from Friday to Monday and it only cost a little over $200. I can’t remember the names of any of the places we ate or drank at because we went during Southern Decadence and we were literally just popping in and out of places. All in all, the trip was amazing and I can’t wait to go back. Next time we’ll stay longer.

Very noisy. You will hear everything outside your window. Was woken up by trash trucks and people yelling. Talking loud in the hallways. The pool is tiny like a pond, the pictures are deceiving. If you have a pet there is no grassy area for them to use it. Your told they will have to go on the cement or walk two blocks to a “park” and your still paying the extra fee to have a non service dog.
