Escape to paradise and enjoy this one-of-a-kind vacation home located in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. As you walk up to "Redfish Dance” for the first time, you will begin to feel what this home is all about - fun with family and friends focused on the wonderful surfing, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, swimming, and all sorts of fun beach, river, and outdoor activities. This house is perfectly situated on a narrow stretch of the island, with the walk to the beach not much farther than the walk to the end of the dock. And when you are tired at the end of the day from all the fun at your doorstep, enjoy the sunset, watch the dolphins from your private rooftop bar and take in the best view in New Smyrna Beach with 180-degree uninterrupted sunset views on one side and ocean views on the other.
This beautifully decorated home is made to accommodate all of your family and friends in 7000 square feet of comfort. Sixteen of your closest friends and family can have their own bedroom, and if you have a little overflow some of your group can enjoy a daybed at night. The house has 3 master bedrooms with private baths, 2 bunk rooms, and a cozy double bedroom for a couple to enjoy at the end of the day. Showers for a big group are no problem when you spend your vacation at the Redfish Dance because the house has 6 full baths and 4 half baths, and you won't run out of hot water thanks to the tankless water heaters. If the mood strikes you, you can also shower on the roof deck or on the shower on the boardwalk leading to the dock.
The best way for you to understand how special your vacation at the Redfish Dance will be is just for us to describe a typical day. In the morning, you will wake up to a truly beautiful sunrise visible from either your bedroom or the second or third-floor outdoor decks. If you have the energy that early, walk up to the roof deck and grab an east-facing chair with a cup of coffee from the gourmet kitchen. If that sounds like a lot of work that early in the morning, sit down in the living room and open the 16-foot wide glass doors and you will literally watch and hear the dolphins jumping and splashing as they eat their breakfast just off the dock. Use the binoculars to zoom in on the egrets and herons that feast on the mullet and other bait fish just outside the window, and watch the fishermen pull trout, snook, and redfish out of the water from close enough to hear them celebrate their catch. Several fishermen have told us that they have caught their biggest snook from under the dock. Feel free to bring your own boat and tie it up to the dock.
Some of your group might be into some morning exercise before they start all of the fun for the day. If so, they can use the fully outfitted gym, which contains a complete set of dumbbells from 5 to 85 pounds, a power rack complete with barbells and bumper plates, a plyo box, a Rogue echo bike, and a Bowflex M-8 Stairstepper. Work out to your favorite music using the house-wide Sonos system, or if you prefer, pull up your favorite you-tube workout personality on the gym TV. If you would rather get outside for your morning exercise, take one of the Specialized Fatboy bikes for a ride on the beach or ride or take a run 1/2 mile south to the Canaveral National Seashore and its pristine beaches and its sanctuary for thousands of species of plants and animals.
When the whole house is ready for breakfast, feed them from the gourmet kitchen at the custom Florida cypress dining room table and unique knotty alder countertop bar that together seats 15. That's perfect because one of you is cooking the chocolate chip pancakes that are going to fuel the fun for the day. You won't have to make a lot of trips to the grocery store because you can put all your food in the home's 2 full-size refrigerators and full-size chest freezers. Don't worry about getting all those groceries to the third-floor gourmet kitchen because the elevator will do the job for you. And by the way, this kitchen is made for the serious chef. You will find top-shelf cookware and knives to help you put food on the table for your big family gathering. And if you prefer to cook on a gas grill, there is one on the third-floor deck right next to the kitchen overlooking the river. It's almost too bad that the view from the kitchen through the 16-foot sliding doors and windows to the west is so gorgeous because the view of the kitchen is pretty special in its own right.
After breakfast, some of your crowd can then grab a surfboard, boogie board, or skimboard and walk to the beach - about 100 yards away to the east. Packing a cooler is no problem because you can put as much as you prefer in the full-sized chest freezer in the garage. Feel free to use one of the house coolers and pull it on the beach cart, or use the Yeti backpack for your refreshments. The rest of your crowd will be excited to walk to the end of the dock and jump in the kayaks and on the paddle boards for fishing and fun in the world-famous Indian River. This area is famous for some of the best redfishing in the world, and people travel from all across the globe to catch these spot-tailed fighters. If you don't feel like paddling, you will probably catch fish right off the dock, where trout, snook, snapper, and sheepshead hang out. You will really enjoy watching your own private aquarium at night because the underwater snook light keeps all of the local fish right under the dock.
Later in the afternoon, your friends and family will gather back at the house to wind down in and by the screened-in pool (heated on request and for an additional fee). Wash the sand off your toes in the outdoor shower and walk on in. The kids are going to love swimming under the waterfall, and you will love sitting on the built-in seats in the pool watching them. The water jets in the pool can massage those muscles that are tired from all the activities of the day. There is a half-bath located on the pool deck between the pool and the boardwalk to the dock. Others in your group will be playing ping pong, shuffleboard, darts, or board games in the game room, or just chilling out at the bar-top table or the cozy couch and seating area watching one of the three 65-inch TVs. The game room also has a convenient half-bath.
While all this is going on, Dad is probably up on the roof deck with Uncle Eddie cooking brisket, ribs, pulled pork, steaks, or whatever your family loves on the Big Green Egg. If it's seafood night, you might decide to use one of the supplied gas burners to make a low-country boil for everyone to feast on at the huge glass-top table that seats 16 on the roof deck. Want to check on the kids in the pool? Just look down through the glass-top table all the way to the first-floor pool! (It's really cool.) A convenient half-bath is also located on the roof deck and helps to cut down on unwanted exercise between the roof deck and the third floor.
But wait, are you too tired from a big day for anyone to cook? That's ok - just walk down a couple of blocks to JB's Fish Camp, where you will enjoy this decades-old eatery that serves the best fresh fish, oysters, clams, and shrimp for miles around. JB's also offers fishing poles, paddleboards, and kayak rentals as well as bait. It's been scientifically proven that the beer there is colder and tastes better than anywhere in the world. After dinner, it's time for the kids to enjoy more games on the first floor unless they decide to play Xbox or watch a movie in the theater room on the 85-inch TV. The grown-ups are probably going back to the roof deck to watch a spectacular sunset, sit by the gas fire pit, and let the hot tub work its magic. We know you are going to love your time here!
