The stay started a little rocky. When we arrived the room was not ready and I could tell the man at the front desk was rushing to have someone clean it. When we were finally able to get into the room we noticed that the bedding on one of the beds was never changed(sheets were wrinkled and had stains, while the other you could tell had ironed sheets with no stains). When we called for replacements we were told no one was available to change the sheets but someone would bring them up. I think for the price we should have at least been able to check into a fully cleaned room. Other than the cleaning incident the stay was nice. Love the bar in the lobby as well as having the option of the rooftop. The hotel is also in a pretty centralized area, where it is easy to walk to a lot of places. If you’re driving in, the parking garage will run you about $50 a day with the discount.

Interior areas were clean and quiet. Really cute, small street level patio needed a sweeping and tables were sticky and dirty. Staff were friendly, however the hotel was overbooked and we were told our room type (2 bed) was sold out. As we were a group of four, they split our reservation and gave us two rooms for the proce of our one booked one, which was fine with us. One room had a broken shower faucet, for which a serviceman was promptly dispatched and problem resolved. Despite the negatives, we liked the hotel and would try it again.

Staff is nice. Hotel downstairs is super convenient and great menu. The room is large and quiet. I extended my stay one more night, but housekeeping kept knocking on my door about 5 times even though I had the do not disturb sign on. Then the next day I had a check out at 12:30, but the housekeeper knocked at 11 and at again 12, even though I had the do not disturb. Very unprofessional and annoying as I was on a work call.

I've never done a staycation in my city and I'm so glad I chose this as my first. Easy check-in process. Comfy bed, lovely shower. Beautiful view of the Empire State Building. Would absolutely do it again!!

long story short, clean your towels. Ours were dirty upon check in. Had stains. Don't have cleaning ladies knocking on our doors before checkout time. cleaning lady knocked hard twice at 10:10 AM when we had DO NOT DISTURB on the door. why??? Need to fix elevator. Also, your front desk employees need more energy. barely said hello to me and my girl and failed to offer complimentary water. Funny because they offered to the guy next to me when I was checking in and didn't bother to ask me.

First impression
The stay was short, but pleasant. From the seamless check-in to the cozy room. The bathroom was almost hidden, which was a nice play on decor and the bed was super comfortable. Truly wish I had more time to enjoy the amenities on the premises.
