Booked for a girls trip to Newcastle. The owner contacted me at 1:30pm when check-in is at 2pm saying we need to be a £40 cleaning fee and once this is paid then we can get the code to retrieve the house key. This was not stated before booking. We did not pay this fee as the house was no clean. Cobwebs, dust, mould in shower and flies in most rooms as they had left the windows open. On Sunday I checked my account and the. Had taken the £40 from my account without permission. I have asked for a refund as the property was not clean and this has not been processed. Do not stay here.

Arrived, thought it was alright. Enough for what we needed. Started to get showered ready to head out and it started to leak through the fire alarm into the first floor landing. The following morning we also found there is an Ant infestation in the living room.

Excellent communication from the tenant. Value for money, however the house is in desperate need of some TLC. Broken bedside tables, tears in the sofa etc. Would definitely recommend staying here!
