Charming and comfortable house near the beach
Our welcome from the property manager was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the clean and roomy house, comfortable bed and the short walk to the beach. We rode the cruiser bikes on nice trails from our neighborhood and enjoyed just walking to the grocery store and restaurants easily. The neighborhood feels safe and the beach is clean and beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the beach with the chairs provided and watching all the surfers, birds & dolphins.

Great place to stay! The house was perfect for our family of 5 and lived having the beach toys available for us. We would stay again. Parking in the area is tough and the garage would be very hard if we had a larger SUV. We rented a minivan and parking in the garage worked out good.

beautiful house a block from beach
This was the best vrbo we've stayed at. Right by the beach on Balboa Island just off PCH. Restaurants to walk to, beautiful blocks to walk down, near HB and Long Beach. Rich met us onsite and gave us a great short tour, and he was easy to get hold of. Price was reasonable, too.

My husband and I and two friends of mine from Northern California stayed at this property to attend a concert in Huntington beach. The bicycles the beach the atmosphere the house the bedding the communication everything was a plus plus I would definitely recommend for any families that are traveling with for adults or small children great place great communication definitely would run again

Very cute beach house perfect for a family!
We loved our stay at this beach house!! The vaulted ceiling in the front room made it seem spacious while the wood beams made it cozy. Th layout was perfect for our family of 6 and had everything we needed. The beach towels/chairs/toys were much appreciated! A quick walk to the beach and very near great food. The garage fit our Minivan (Honda odyssey) but I will say my husband is a pro Parker and I wouldn’t have attempted it, it’s a tight squeeze but very nice having that option. Overall would absolutely stay again!

Great location!
Great location, less than 2 blocks to the beach and walking, biking path. Also, 2 blocks in the other direction, you'll find coffee, a restaurant, liquor store, tacos and really any basic amenities you'll need to enjoy your stay. We did not have a car and didn't need it with this great location. 2 bikes in the garage, and all the beach toys. A few things to consider: the property is old but nicely maintained. It does lack privacy, you share the front patio with your neighbors. Also, unfortunately for us , there was a heat wave with no AC! There are plenty of fans in the house to keep the air moving and we just jumped in the ocean to cool off. The house met our needs, but isn't fancy. Good value.

Great Beach Getaway
Overall very happy to stay at Sheryl's Newport house. It was exactly as described. My one note would be that the volume of information pushed via email prior to the stay was excessive. I'm sure it is a difficult balance to get people the information they need. Good to communicate, but we eventually just stopped reading the long emails. Still a 5 star spot, would definitely consider staying there again.

Great beach getaway
We loved the neighborhood, it’s a fairly unbusy area (during our stay) with the beach a quick walk a few minuets directly down the road. I do wish there was assigned parking, we were able to find parking just one to two streets over each day/night, and did need to pay for parking the days we were not out of the house before 8am, there’s a garage but you won’t fit into it unless you have a compact car or motorcycle. We pulled up to the house to drop off kids and bags, etc each night, thankfully we had older kids so that was easy enough. The house is cute and the two patio options were nice also. The hosts were friendly and provided us with everything we needed, very quick to respond to any questions or requests. We actually arrived two hours later than we thought we would, around 10:30pm, we were apologetic and Rollo told us not a big deal, be safe, take our time driving and he’d see us soon. When we met him he was in no rush to check us in even thought we had him there much later than anyone had thought, he took his time explaining things, showing us around and made sure we were happy and comfy before leaving.

Loved the people who are running the property. Best I’ve experienced. No complaints at all. I really wish the deposit was not held onto for so long. It’s been released a week afterwards, but I’ll be closer to 4 weeks for the deposit.

This charming home by the sea was just what we needed. It was the perfect getaway for our 16th Anniversary. Walkout the door, turn right, two minutes later your feet are in the sand of the Pacific Ocean. Amenities as well as proximity to great food and activities are the best. We will be returning many times.

Perfect family getaway
We LOVED our trip so much we are already thinking about when we can come back. This location is so dreamy. Being a 30 second walk from the ocean was amazing! We rented an extra bike and a trailer to put my younger kids in, and spent lots of time riding up and down the coastline. We rode down to balboa fun zone and rode the Ferris wheel, and took the ferry to balboa island to explore for the afternoon which was really fun! We also rode the bikes down to our whale watching tour- didn’t see any whales but we saw tons of dolphins and sea lions! The house was great, and fully stocked with beach toys, towels, and beach chairs. We did a lot of cooking (eating out with a family of 7 adds up!) and I wish we had bought paper goods and utensils because we were always out of bowls, plates and silverware. But other than that the kitchen had everything we needed. We went to four different beaches our on trip but my kids favorite one was the one right outside our door.

Wonderful Get-Away!

What an amazing time. All involved were of excellent help. One thing maybe they can improve on is some of their large kitchen utensils should be replaced and need kitchen towels and wash clothes for kitchen. We washed our own dishes in stead of using the dishwasher. Also..since no washcloths, we had to use paper towels to clean the stove, tge counter, the kitchen tables. Also, may want to have extra blankets for the beds. Would most definitely stay there again.
