The Hotel Viking is a historic property that is in good repair and general maintenance. Dining options are VERY limited and the bar/lounge is grossly undersized in proportion to the hotel's capacity. Our "Junior Suite" was a long, narrow room featuring an enormous elevated bed (steps required to get in/out) at the far end. Such placement did not allow for TV watching while in bed. The couch opposite the TV was well-worn, and the mattress was punishing. All lights in the room were self standing lamps which required individual attention.
It was a bit disconcerting at the first entry.
The bath/shower featured black mold in the grout next to the tub. When bedding was requested for the couch, we received two pillows and a fan(?).
Our stay was overnight to see the 'Breakers' in full holiday splendor. Our hotel experience was sufficient for the purpose. Perhaps the biggest hotel attraction is that it is dog-friendly.
