Pikku peukalo istuu veden äärellä Damariscotta-järvellä, mänty- ja tammipuiden alla. Sitä ympäröi vesi kolmelta puolelta vettä ja se näyttää etelään pitkin järven pitkää osaa. Itäinen lahti on haikaroiden ja kaljujen merikotkien suosikki ruokintapaikka. Siirrä jalat pois yksityiseltä laiturilta ja seuraa ankkojen meloa. Anna luunien nukkua sinut nukkumaan.

Tarjoamme viikkovuokrausta kesällä. Tarjoamme lyhyempiä oleskelua olka-aikoina. Tämä on vuodenajan mukainen mökki, jota ei ole saatavana talvikuukausina. Palaavat vieraat voivat saada alennuksia vähintään viikon oleskeluista.

Keittiö, kylpyhuone ja makuuhuoneet on kokonaan uusittu. Keittiössä on kaasuliesi, mikroaaltouuni ja keskisaari. Kylpyhuoneessa on pesukone ja kuivausrumpu. Olohuoneessa on kaasutakka ja täydet näkymät järvelle. On olemassa kaksi makuuhuonetta, joissa peitot, tyynyt ja peitot. Lakanat ja pyyhkeet ovat saatavilla pyynnöstä.

Mökki sijaitsee saarella, joka on nyt kytketty Damariscotta-järven itäpuolelle moottoritiellä. Sen viereen on kasvanut kosteikko. Taloja on vain noin 10 ja se tuntuu erittäin yksityiseltä.

Kävele tai pyöräile hiekkatietä pitkin. Kajakki tai kanootti laiturilta. Kalat lahti. Tai vain rentoutua ja nauttia näkymistä.

Uinti: Voimme yleensä uida heti laituriltamme. Mutta laiturista tuleva vesi on usein liian matala sukellusta varten. Se on syvemmällä uima-uimurilla. Voit uida siellä kelluvaan tai meloaan laiturista.

Pidämme mökillä kajakkeja, kahta meloa ja kaksi pelastusliiviä. Voit tuoda oman, jos olet pienempi tai suurempi kuin keskimäärin. Anna pelastusliivien tippua ulkopuolelle ennen kuin viet sisälle.

Jos haluat vuokrata ylimääräisiä kajakkeja tai kanootteja, annan mielelläni sinulle tietoja tietyistä vuokra-ja toimituspaikoista.

Damariscotta Lake State Park -puistossa on hiekkaranta 10 minuutin päässä mökistä.

On hiekkaranta ja valtameriuinti Pemaquid Beachillä New Harborissa, noin puoli tuntia mökistä.

Perfect Solo Getaway
My mid-October stay at Little Thumb was everything I hoped for and more: plenty of peace and quiet, an immaculate and comfortable place to stay, and beautiful surroundings in which to birdwatch from the dock, read, and take long walks. I especially enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen, comfy queen bed, and big gas heating stove in the living room that kept me toasty, even temps dipped into the 40s. And Natalie certainly deserves her rating as a top host!

Calm, peaceful setting right on the lake
Two friends found this cabin to be clean and comfortable with very adequate dishware and kitchen utensils and some spices. We vacationed in early October…The peaceful, woodsy setting is what we enjoyed the most. We heard loons, saw a bald eagle and kingfisher among others.

Maine Never Disappoints
A cute property in a quiet nook of Damariscotta Lake. The water was still warm enough in mid-September for a swim (though bring water shoes...the bottom is a bit mucky). My wife had to work a bit, which was eased by the view and the internet was good for video calls. It's an easy shot into town to get your local oyster fix. Most of the midcoast towns are less than a hour away. Would return.

Very peaceful and relaxing
Everything was as it said in the explanation of this rental. We didn't need a thing extra. We got in very late the first night and didn't get to see the lake. Next morning was like " Wow". What an amazing view from every room. If people want peace and quiet as we were looking for, this is a great choice

The spot on the lake couldn't be beat. The location is beautiful and the house is clean and cozy. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars because one of the reasons we rented it was to use the kayaks and one has a broken seat, which meant we couldn't go out together.

Great getaway
This is a Beautiful, Clean, Comfortable and cared for cottage. The lake was very peaceful. The walks around the property are beautiful. There are great restaurants in Damrascotta. It was a very relaxing week.

A perfect Maine family getaway
We could not have been more lucky to stay at Little Thumb! The view of the water is just unbeatable. We spent most of our time outside swimming, kayaking, around the bonfire, on the dock, or out in nature somewhere else. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds were very comfortable, perfect for our family of three. Highly recommend the swimming hole near Damariscotta Mills for young children - went went twice! We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return.

Natalie's property is very cozy, comfortable and the perfect vibe for this location on Damariscotta Lake. decor is cheerful and colorful, and the cottage has all the needed appliances and extras, like oil/spices for cooking. kayaks are available, which is a nice feature, also a dock for those who have watercraft to get around the lake. A perfect vacation spot! Natalie is a wonderful host!

Lovely cottage on a cove
We enjoyed a delightful Memorial Day weekend at Natalie's cottage. The indoor space was just as beautiful as promised, with views of the water from three sides! The location was remarkable: near a couple of other cottages but on the edge of an quiet cove. Aside from a couple of passing fishing boats, we had the area almost entirely to ourselves . . . plus the ducks, loons, and osprey. Songbirds filled the treetops, the stars at night were brilliant. Mitch at Midcoast Kayak delivered our canoe early and exactly as specified. And Natalie's welcome and communications were all top-notch. Many thanks!

My cabin on the lake
Better than I imagined-- the pictures were accurate, but the cabin is way nicer once you see it. You can tell that quite a bit was done on it recently. Natalie thanks!! Going there off season was sooo peaceful and being on a huge lake sitting out on the deck was a wonderful plus.

Exceptional spot to get away and relax
The property was wonderful. It was extremely quiet and relaxing. We were able to have a couple of fires in the fire pit before the rain came in. It was great relaxing by the gas fireplace while looking at the autumn leaves and listening to the rain. There was so much interesting bird activity on the lake too. I only wish there had been a pair of binoculars there to observe them closer. Overall, it was very nice. Attention to details and comfort was exemplary. Thank you Natalie for sharing your wonderful abode!

Charming and Peaceful!
We had a positively wonderful time this weekend! It was so quiet and peaceful here. We heard loons, a cormorant, beavers hard at work, geese and we watched an eagle fly overhead. The cottage is charming, the kitchen easy to work in and the bed was SO comfortable! We slept so well. Thank you for a wonderful visit, we hope to come again!

Best week at Little Thumb
We had excellent weather all week which made it more wonderful than ever!! I have been to this cabin at least 6 times. There is only one other visible house. The new propane fireplace made the house very cozy and the warmth was needed. I love the room darkening shades! My loving partner made the stay special!! The location was perfect!! It is a very comfortable place to stay. God willing, I will be back next year. The front door key does not seem to work well.
