I came here fleeing a stalker. The first night of my stay I heard someone sliding a card key in my door intermittently for an hour and a half. I reported this the next morning to the desk clerk showing her an email summarizing previous stalking incidents and asked to speak to the manager or the video security tech. I was told without a police report that I would not be allowed to speak to either of these people. I then contacted the Oakland Police requesting assistance, since filing a report online was not an option. The hotel assigned me a new room with a new pair of card keys. I returned to the front desk four times because these keys wouldn't unlock the door. The following morning I returned from breakfast, picked up the shirt I had worn previous day, and noticed something very odd. In the pocket was an item the stalker had stolen from my apartment several months ago (instructions on the operation of my burglar alarm) as well as the card keys to my new room. Further investigation revealed that the card keys to my new and old room had been swapped. I'm certain this was not my doing. I again asked the same desk clerk to speak to the manager, explaining someone had been in my room. My request was flatly denied. Stayed at this property and it was so close to the coliseum which was great. The price wasn’t too high and they even had a security guard at night guarding the gate asking people what their room number is and their last name. So I definitely felt much better and safe that they had that at least being the area it is in is not at clean or well upkeep. However, the staff was nice, the rooms weren’t bad. My family even said they would stay again

Dirty filthy, nasty deceptive advertising of the property condition exterior and interior it was so nasty looking and the room has scratched up dirty furniture, their was dirty and torn ripped carpets on hallways and stains running down the walls. It smelled of dirt and cigarettes, dog running around lobby jumping up on nasty dirty lobby furniture it was traumatizing driving up to property, trash literally littered the streets, cobwebs were all over the property embedded in the exterior stucco. It was horrifying.
