This has been our family's vacation home since the 1950s. In the past few years, we've updated the interior without violating the character of the classic beach bungalow. The house comes with toys and books for your kids, spices and other basics in the pantry, recently upgraded electrical, and AC in all the bedrooms, plus the living room.
The screened in porch is a great place to people-watch while you eat and always has a cool breeze from the ocean in the evenings. The back deck offers a more secluded option to relax in the sun or enjoy a meal cooked on the propane grill.
When you walk out the door, or down the ramp, you will be half a block from the ocean and two blocks from a playground. Downtown Ocean Beach is full of cute shops and restaurants, only a block and a half away.
All the choices are yours. You can cook at home with groceries sent from Bay Shore on the freight boat, shop in one of several grocery stores nearby, or eat out for every meal. Stay at the house, or spend your days on the beach. Energetic guests can walk to the Sunken Forest one day and the lighthouse the next (each a couple of miles along the beach). Whatever you do, you will have a comfortable home to return to and plenty of doors between spaces so night owls and early birds don't need to bother each other.
