Well, it's right on the Boardwalk and we had an Oceanview from our room. Nothing is really open on the Boardwalk itself because of the winter season so don't waste your time. If you really want to do some shopping head on over to Rehoboth, Delaware it is only about 30 to 40 minutes from Oceancity Maryland. Just use Google maps to navigate there all the shops and restaurants are open you won't be disappointed. If the bar is open in the Hyatt Place, it is open on Friday and Saturday ask Sandi for recommendations as where are the good places to eat ( just say Gregory from Guam recommend you she is fantastic!) Well I hope you enjoy your stay. Also ask if their are non-ajoining rooms available because you can hear the neighbors. Otherwise it's a good place to stay.

We recently stayed at the Hyatt at Ocean City, MD and, while the location and beach view were fantastic, there were several issues that affected our stay. The hotel is in a prime spot with a beautiful view, but unfortunately, the property is quite old and in need of maintenance. Room Issues: The sink in our room was not functional, and despite notifying staff, no one came to address the issue during our stay. Elevator Out of Service: The elevator was down during our visit, and we were not informed about this in advance. This created significant inconvenience, especially as we were traveling with a family member who has severe mobility challenges. Accessibility Concerns: Due to the elevator being out of service, my daughter, who is severely handicapped, was unable to join us for breakfast in the dining room, making the experience even more difficult for our family. We have stayed at other Hyatt locations and have always been satisfied, but unfortunately, this property did not meet the usual standard. I hope that the management can address these issues moving forward to ensure future guests have a better experience.

I didn't know about the room fee. Staff was ok, beds comfortable, shower was nice, the glass doors could be cleaned better. View from balcony was great. The pool could use some fresh paint. Many stores and restaurants near by but this time of year not many places open. Now I have to say the breakfast was very unpleasant, eggs, bread and coffee were good, everything else was gross, French toast cold and burnt, fruit was not fresh and turning brown. No utensils and no staff to help. No hot water for tea and hot chocolate.

Poor customer service!
After second night stay got up for breakfast was 7:45am, a hour and 15 minutes after it opened hot food stations were empty, no plates, and no silverware other than butter knives to eat with. We waited for 15-20 minutes and saw no staff and left! We checked out early so we could find somewhere to eat breakfast and notified the front desk about our disappointment and she said they were short staffed. Unfortunately this is a common excuse for poor customer service!!!

Great property but horrible $200 pet fee
Ocean City is beautiful during off-season as you feel like you have it all to yourself. We have visited three times with our pug and have always stayed here. The boardwalk is just around the property, self-parking with in and out privileges and covered from the elements, breakfast is decent, and you can enjoy the beauty of the ocean from the balcony. The beds are comfy, small fridge in room, nice shower, and spacious rooms. As you can see, I have enjoyed my stays here as it is also a pet-friendly property and there is a under-utilized 24 hour gym with treads, bikes, and a weight space. The only difference between my first two visits and my third was a mandatory pet-fee of $200. This was the first time I ever had a pet-fee so it was a surprise to me although now I see the fee listed in Hotels.com. Even if I tried to budget it over the course of the stay, 3 nights, that is close to $70 per night for my 25 lb small pug. This is quite an excessive fee and will have to seriously consider other properties when coming to Ocean City.

Pet friendly yet clean. On the boardwalk and my number one priority- great customer service. The shower was great..good pressure walk in with accessories and towels easily reachable. The only drawback was the beds. Not yet changed from last summer, the mattresses were impossible to sleep on. We will return as soon as the new mattresses arrive because we LOVE this place!
