A newly refurbished inn right in the centre of Okehampton, unfortunately only the pub and restaurant areas have been upgraded and not the rooms. Lots of cracks in the walls, damp on the ceiling in the bedroom, really noisy toilets and water system and despite reporting a lack of bathroom mirror light it was not replaced. They definitely concentrate on the bar and food aspect of the premises rather than their paying guests. Not somewhere for the feint-hearted to stay as the local youngsters frequent the place late on weekend evenings and it got very rowdy with fights breaking out. Staff were slow to react. However, that being said, the rooms are far enough away that you could easily get away from the noise.
