Family Fun
We had a great time, we saw Deer, Racoon, and Eagles. The place was well stocked. We would have loved some better coffee mugs, but that’s just us being coffee snobs. The upstairs bedroom has a distinct odor and some cobwebs could be taken care of, but other than that the place was clean and spacious.

Amazing View
The view was stunning. We saw porpoises and a harbor seal from the deck. The house could use a few repairs, but nothing major. The location is quite remote - great for quiet and privacy, but a little inconvenient for going places. Overall, we had a lovely time.

Beautiful View, Very Private
This property is listed as being in Olga. I see it was changed after we booked it. It's nowhere near Olga. That said, it was an enjoyable, comfortable place to vacation.

Summer family vacation
I would not stay here again. The house is in need of very deep clean. There were cobwebs and dust all over the pictures, wall hangings, and table tops upon arrival. It looked like it had been cleaned long before our arrival and then sat empty for quite some time. There were at least 8 spiders with webs just hanging out in various rooms and mouse droppings in the bottom cabinets of the kitchen. I called property management and she was very empathetic and sent someone to set mouse traps and clean the droppings. The house has a beautiful view but no good furniture to enjoy it on. I'd love to vacation on the island again but not at this house.

Absolutely outstanding views!!!
The cabin was beautiful and beds were very comfortable. The views from every window in the house were breathtaking. It was very private and very very quiet. we saw seals, otters, eagles and deer. In order to see whales we rented a 19 foot boat in Deer Harbor and went to Walden Island where we saw a small pod of orcas which was thrilling. The only downside to the cabin was that the written directions to the cabin were horrible. It’s a lot easier to get to than the directions indicate! We finally had to ask some neighbors where to find the cabin.

We'll be back
This place was magical! We are already talking about returning next year. The house is comfortable with a rustic feel. There was more than enough room for my partner, me, and a friend. The location was so special on a bluff about the water with a view across the sound to Mt. Rainier, it was hard for us to pry ourselves away to go do anything. The house feels remote; even though it is only 5 miles from town, it takes 15 minutes to get there because half of the route is on narrow, windy, unlit roads that turn to gravel near the end. While that might discourage some, for us it was a plus. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. We appreciated the individual heat controls in various parts of the house. The full size washer and dryer were good quality and helpful as we were on a longer trip and needed to do laundry. We love the place, but if I could get greedy and have it the way I want -- it might be time to upgrade the kitchen a bit with some better quality pots and pans. Also, leaving some basic condiments in the fridge/cupboard (ketchup, mustard, olive oil) would be helpful.

House with a great view
This house gave our family a lovely getaway for a week. It's a 15-minute drive from Eastsound, the main town on the Island. Important: Make sure to walk to the opposite end of Ringtail Lane to find the little path down to a small and charming beach.

Needs serious maintenence
The master bathroom and sink didn't drain, serious leak under kitchen sink and outside faucet, dishwasher needs replaced, need updating towels and potholders, cubbiards weren't clean, fridge wasn't clean, beautiful view, not being well maintained at all, only three bigger coffee mugs, etc,

Very Peaceful
My husband and I live on a peninsula across the water from the Seattle area. We have beautiful views of the city at night, the North Cascades and Mt. Rainier. We were, however, blown away by the views from the Cedar House. Surrounded by incredibly beautiful forest and water on the edge of a cliff, this property is amazing. We all needed a break from the stress of the past year of pandemic isolation. This was the perfect spot. Very clean, well equipped in every way with wonderful selection of books and DVDs. The owners have put a lot of thought into making sure their guests are well cared for.

Comfortable, quiet and nice view, but wifi was unreliable and the trees dropped sap on our truck. These two factors were very disappointing and frustrating.

Incredible location
The house has stunning views from its wraparound deck. While there are neighbors close by, it still feels very secluded. There is beach access and an incredible viewpoint just a short walk from the property. The house was clean and comfortable, with lots of space to spread out. The only issue we ran into was that the internet/wifi didn't work for the entire duration of our stay. It was unclear whether this was due to an issue with the internet provider or something else. That said, we had a great time at this lovely place.

The location is misrepresented, there is no access to the beach as listed in the ad
the property is well maintain, difficult to find without a navigation system. The view is beautiful and scenic, but calling this a whale watching house is a misrepresentation, as is the access to the beach. It is not safe for small children, as the house sits on a high drop off without security barrier. We will not rent there again.

So nice
We have rented the house because my family from Denmark came to visit. The house was so nice. It is so much nicer than on the photos. Lots of books to read, toy to play with for the kids. You really feel at home. They heated the house before we came which was a very nice gesture. The tv room was fantastic!! The view from the house was beautiful and so was the beach. We would love to come again.

Spacious and right on the water
It was convenient to pickup the keys in town and head out to the cabin. It is much larger than the pictures make it look. It's right on the water and we were treated to Orcas, Dolphins and Seals throughout our stay. The only thing that makes it a 4 vs a 5 is the location. The view is fantastic but it's about 15-20 min back into town if you want to get supplies. The community beach was very nice and private. Definitely would recommend. The contract was a little confusing, I thought we had to clean up the place but possibly didn't, we did anyway, yay. There were 8 of us and we had room for everyone. The owner was good to warn us about getting reservations for the Ferry, there were indeed some people at the terminal who didn't get on the boat, reserve early!

Dirty bedspreads, blankets, and mattress cover.
With exception of sheets and towels, all other linens were very dirty. Used bandaid stuck to bedspread, food stains on others. Dead bugs on one of the mattress covers. Was told unapologetically by office personnel that bedding is washed “at the beginning of the season”. It’s mid-August. Yuck. Otherwise, beautiful location. Great property. Nice layout. Quiet and serene. Please clean your bedding.

Beautiful Home in a Spectacular Location
We loved everything about this house. It was perfect for three friends and two ten-year-olds. The house was clean and well-equipped, and the views are spectacular. The community beach is lovely. We saw lots of wildlife right at the house, including dolphins and bald eagles. We're already talking about coming back!

This beautiful cabin was perfect for our family of 6 with 4 adult-college age kids!
We loved that the cabin was close to town, but very secluded and peaceful. We grilled fresh oysters and watched seals and birds from the deck, and explored the lower beach and found starfish, anemones and other sea life at low tide. Plenty of room and all the amenities we needed - but we were only there at night for the most part. We explored a few islands in our time in the SanJuans and enjoyed coming back to our "home base" for a relaxing evening. Thank you for sharing your little slice of Heaven!

Beautiful views of the water and mountains.
We were treated to beautiful views of the water and mountains from this property. Mt Baker was out in all of its glory. There was enough space for our group of 5 adults and 2 kiddos to sleep and hang out. Kitchen was a bit small but we made it work and were still able to cook our meals just with fewer chefs in the kitchen. 🙂 We did have some troubles with the dishwasher working properly, even with following the directions provided on how to use it. We ended up hand washing most of our dishes. Also, we did not notice the fine print stating that toilet paper, paper towel, dish and hand soap were not provided. I have stayed in many rental properties and that was the first time I have had to bring my own toilet paper. Make sure to stop in town and pick some up before heading out to the house. We enjoyed walking down to the beach front. One other sort of interesting thing was the inventory list of every single item in the house. Overall a good experience.
