Coffee grounds on carpet apparently absorb odor.
We walked into the room and noticed a foul smell. As I was looking down, I noticed what ended up being heavy amounts of coffee grounds all over the carpet. I went to the front desk to ask if the room had been cleaned and the receptionist told me that they put that down to help absorb odor but housekeeping must’ve forgot to vacuum it up. The lady offered to come vacuum it up but she didn’t know when she could because she was the only one there and dealing with other upset customers. They didn’t have another room to put us in and our daughter was going to stay in the room, while we ran to the store. The lady said that it would be okay if our daughter was in the room, while she came in to vacuum. My wife ended up just asking for a vacuum and doing it herself. This hotel is nasty and I would not stay here again. Even the beds didn’t have much more than a sheet, for blankets.

The good news is that if you are traveling with a pet, this your place. But our suite’s living room smelled like wet dog. At least the bedroom didn’t. Very dated. AC in bedroom worked really well until we accidentally switched it to heat. A horrible burnt smell came with that brief mistake; it eventually cleared. Next time would choose the Holiday Inn Express next door.

Nice room. Very clean. Friendly folks at the front desk. Evidently, they welcome dogs. While I love dogs, one little guy a few doors down decided to bark incessantly late into the evening. They also need a better fitted sheet. Aside from those things, it was a very pleasant experience.

Suites are spacious. Kitchens are a plus if you want to cook, plan meals. We have 7 mouths so makes sense to cook. Burner sizes could be bigger and pots are small to medium, hard to cook for more than four. If you can bring larger pots (with lids) and a few fave knives, utensils will have all you need. They have a cabinet full of random games, kitchen gadgets to share. They should put some larger pots with lids there for community use. We will stay again. Friendly staff.
