We were not compensated to any of these inconveniences nor asked for it, except for the gas reimbursement for the propane tank which didn't happen as well.
1. Cleaning was poor. We had to wash our bedding in all the rooms we used before sleeping on it as they were badly stained and maybe not changed since last guests. Hair and fingernail on the top of the comforter, dusty bed side curtain, nerf gun bullets everywhere, dirty and crusted spatulas and ladles, etc. Most were reported to the management the next day after check-in.
2. Beds in all the rooms are noisy and very uncomfortable. When one moves, you'll feel the movement of the entire mattress. We thought it was only the Master bed downstairs until all complained the next day about how uncomfortable and creaky their beds are.
3. Main living room couch and pillows (the brown set) and high dining table and chairs were badly stained, a serious turn off. Owners need to put some TLC on these furniture as they were unsightly. Wear and tear is normal in a rental home, but those furniture are just filthy and displeasing. Maybe invest in some covers so you can wash them, they're still functional.
4. The grill we rented and paid extra was not worth it. It was unclean (we had to clean it) and the tank was very low on gas. We used it on our 3rd day, but didn't know why the grill wasn't working properly. Had to call the numbers listed on our arrival details (which there was no answer after several tries), had to go to VRBO app and check on the number of the Host. We were informed to just get a replacement at Walmart and they'll reimburse us.
No one from our group wanted to get it as most were tired from swimming and just wanting to rest. Won't use it the next day so it will be useless to get a new tank. We're not really supposed to get it as it should be full in the first place. We had to use the very low gas and cooked 8pcs small burger patties and brought home the rest of our uncooked to-grill-food with us.
Why do we expect to get reimbursed for a tank that we didn't buy? Because the gas tank was useless and we paid extra for a week use of the grill with a full tank. So far, we received nothing and no communication from the management company.
5. This was on the HOA, the rules about getting to the community sucked. 2nd night, we experienced stressful bumper to bumper traffic just to pass the gate. Traffic to get in took us 1hr. 'Was better the next days. Unsure what happened to security.
