Highland House sits beautifully above the shores of Georgian Bay on 7 private acres of forest and manicured grounds. The estate property’s 500 ft. driveway leads to exquisitely appointed gardens and hardscape that surround the 3500 sq. ft. custom built modern log home.

With five bedrooms, a living room with a gas fireplace, an inviting kitchen and dining area, a media room and spa, Highland House offers couples and families a superior year-round retreat to rejuvenate and explore.

The two-level deck and new 9 person, salt water Arctic Spa hot tub overlook the property’s fire pit and are complimented by a Canadian Western Cedar indoor sauna provide a spa-like atmosphere to unwind and reconnect.

A chef’s inspired outdoor kitchen and a professional gas fueled stone pizza oven along with produce and herbs from the vegetable garden will ensure memorable evenings spent with family and friends around the deck’s harvest table followed by board games and movie nights on the 82 inch TV screen in the lower level’s media room.

Highland House provides easy access to all of southern Georgian Bay’s amenities and attractions. Hiking on the Bruce Trail, golfing, mountain biking, rock climbing, fishing along with ski and snowmobile trails are at your doorstep and are surrounded by Grey County’s 8 picturesque waterfalls.

Pack a picnic and visit the area’s secluded or more popular beaches or take a drive into Collingwood or up the Bruce Peninsula to Tobermory. With a boat launch 5 minutes away, explore Georgian Bay by water or paddle on local rivers through the countryside. Wineries, cideries, breweries, arts, culture, music and culinary events, festivals and fall fairs can all be found throughout the area’s historic towns and villages. Fine dining and take away restaurants along with local shopping are all nearby.

For a long weekend, a week or monthly rental, Highland House offers a memorable experience that will heighten all of your senses.

Highland House is cleaned to the highest quality standards and the hot tub and sauna are professionally treated between guests. Gardening and home maintenance take place weekly.

Linens have been purchased through William Sonoma and Pottery Barn and furniture and beds are new.

Second Stay at Highland House
Our group of 7 were so happy to to be back at Highland House for another stay! Our host, David was there to welcome us and answer any questions. He gave us some tips on the pizza oven which resulted in amazing, delicious pizza our first night. The log home is beautifully decorated and cozy, all beds are very comfortable and the property, inside and out, was clean and well maintained. Girls Weekend 4th year

Amazing Place and Host
The Highland House is an amazing home and property. It has all that you need and more, with plenty of room. The extra amenities such as the Hot Tub, Outdoor Kitchen and Pizza Oven puts this accommodation over the top. The house and property is well maintained. You can tell the owner (David) is very proud of his property. David is amazing...very responsive, friendly and conversive. Any issues we may have had were addressed immediately with follow-up to ensure we were happy. This was our 4th year staying at the Highland House for our annual Golf Tournament and we plan to be back again next year. Thank you David for being such a great host!

Amazing Getaway at Highland House
We spent a week with our family at Highland House. The home exceeded our expectations. The photos accurately depict the home. The house is situated in a secluded setting with beautiful gardens and a spacious lawn ideal for outdoor activities. The deck area includes an outdoor kitchen (with pizza oven), a large outdoor dining table, a sitting area, and a spacious hot tub. We appreciated making arrangements with the homeowner, who was quick to respond to any inquiries. I highly recommend this property!

Wonderful Property!
Our family recently returned from a 5 night stay at Highland House. The property is so private and peaceful and very well cared for. One of my favourite spots was the comfy front porch chair with a tea that looked out onto the beautiful and quiet grounds. The house was a perfect size for our extended family of eight. A lovely, cozy log cabin feel. We loved all the amenities the owner has provided - the great pizza oven, outdoor kitchen, sauna, hot tub, fire pit and more! Everything you need is there….even the many boardgames for a rainy afternoon. David is a very responsive host and Annette was so helpful when we arrived. Great location and wonderful property to visit! Looking forward to visiting again! Thanks for sharing your Highland House with us!

Gentlemens Golf Weekend
After many year's of organizing my group's annual golf weekend, this place is far and away the best place that we have ever stayed at. The weather wasn't great but thank God we had this beautiful house to call home for the weekend. This place is both comfort and luxury all in one! No need to bring anything other than food. Hot tub,sauna,outside pizza oven and huge BBQ. Internet, Large main floor TV and a even bigger downstairs TV make this place outstanding. Large bedrooms and nice bedding make this place top notch! Idyllic Winter Retreat
Family comprising 3 couples had a wonderful relaxing stay at this beautiful retreat amid the snow and trees with Georgian Bay visible in the distance. Romping in the snow with the dog was unbeatable. Soaking in the spacious hot tub while the snow was all around us was a delight. Well-equipped kitchen made meal preparation a treat. Two large spaces for reading, relaxing, games, and fabulous spa with two-person shower and sauna all lent themselves so well to relaxing. We all enjoyed our stay very much. Communication with David, Pauline and Annette was fabulous - they are wonderful hosts.

Weekend Getaway
My sister and our partners found the Highland House and it was the perfect location and retreat for a weekend away. The house is cozy and has everything you need. We took advantage of the sauna and hot tub. We were greeted by the property manager and she showed us around the house and was great with our dogs. A very thoughtful welcome basket was waiting for us full of local eats and beverages. This house has everything you need to have the best time away!

Wonderful family winter getaway!
We just returned from a wonderful family weekend at the beautiful Highland House just north of Owen Sound. It was a winter wonderland at this beautiful log cabin home, beautifully decorated and outfitted for a relaxing and very special weekend. The 4 large bedrooms upstairs were more than comfy for our family of 8 and the hit tub and sauna extra bonuses. The large very well outfitted kitchen had everying we needed for great family meals and the outdoor pizza oven was fantastic! We had wonderful walks on and around the property and great cross country ski outings to a nearby conservation area and to the groomed trails at Massie Hills. Our host was so friendly, communicative and helpful throughout the whole process. A warm personal welcome and generous gift basket started off the weekend. Thank you for helping us create wonderful family memories...the best rental experience...we will be back!!

This was our 3rd annual girls weekend experience at the beautiful Highland House and it was as wonderful as ever! Any questions you might have leading up to or during your stay are promptly answered by hosts David and Pauline and the Property Manager Annette is there to greet you when you arrive. Friendly and welcoming, this team really goes above and beyond to ensure your getaway is perfect in every way. The property itself is stunning with multiple outdoor areas (we LOVE the large covered front porch), fire pit, beautiful new hot tub and an outdoor cooking station with pizza oven! Inside there is plenty of room to roam with a nicely stocked kitchen, spacious family room, 5 comfortable bedrooms plus a bonus room on the lower level. Thank you David, Pauline and Annette. We will definitely be back!

Amazing Girls Getaway Weekend!
Our hosts were prompt and patiently responsive to all our questions. It was obvious that they took great care and pride in Highland House. On arrival the property manager, Annette, welcomed us with a tour of the house and necessary information. We found this really helpful. Everything about the property was immaculate, in good working order and the kitchen (indoor and out) was well equipped. All the beds were very comfortable! Our hosts had thought of many extra touches that were very appreciated; linens were high quality, so many thick towels supplied and cosy throws to wrap in on the cool mornings enjoying our coffee on the front veranda. Even a thoughtful welcome basket was waiting for us on the kitchen counter! We will definitely be back!

Amazing Experience
The Luxury Log Home is an amazing place. Every detail has been thought through with the guests' comfort and relaxation in mind. This was our third time staying here. Starting with our initial contact with our Hosts, David and Pauline. They were very responsive to any enquiry we had and quickly responded to any questions we had during our stay. We were warmly greeted by Annette, who gave us the orientation of the property and ensured everything was to our satisfaction before she left. Written instructions on using the facility and its amenities were well laid out and easy to follow. The home is amazing in it self. It is well appointed and very comfortable. We had 7 guests stay for 3 nights and there was plenty of room to spread out and relax. The outdoor "kitchen" is amazing and it is complemented by a very large live edge outdoor table that can comfortably seat 10 people. It looks out to the adjacent forest making it a great place to have a meal. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The front porch is also a great place to sit and relax, with plenty of room for people to sit. Other amenities that put it over the top was the 9 person Hot Tub, outdoor Pizza oven and fire pit circled by a group of Muskoka chairs. There is plenty of parking in the driveway for multiple cars. It is obvious David and Pauline put a lot of thought into making this a great destination and they are very proud of their home as it is very well maintained, both inside and out.

Wonderful Stay, will be back
From the moment we drove up the winding private driveway, we knew we were going to experience an outstanding holiday surrounded by nature within a luxurious space. Highland House did not disappoint and in fact, exceeded all of our expectations. The incredible log home, landscaping, waterfall, outdoor kitchen, deck, fire pit, hot tub and large harvest table were outstanding amenities and were complimented by beautiful views in every direction. Highland House is beautiful, spotlessly cleaned and welcoming. The beds and premium linens and furniture were comfortable and all new. The sauna, large screen TV and extensive kitchen amenities all worked together to enable our family to have an outstanding holiday. David was a wonderful host. His communication was prompt and Annette, Highland House’s property manager provided us with a wonderful tour. Highland House is by far the best short-term rental we have experienced. It was our personal resort and we will be back!
