Oma yksityinen perääntyminen 70 hehtaarin metsäisellä kiinteistöllä. Nukkuu viisi mukavasti.

Tämä yksinäinen maamökki sijaitsee noin 30 mailia etelään Hermannin keskustasta, lähellä on monia nähtävyyksiä. Koti on palannut metsään, luonnonkaunis 3. 5 hehtaarin lampi sijaitsee aivan oven takana. Lampi on varustettu kaloilla, jotka vain odottavat purra! Kiinteistö on nimetty kansallisen villieläinliiton sertifioiduksi villieläinluontotapaksi sekä Monarch Waystationiksi.

Kodikkaassa mökissäsi on suuri ruokailu- / ruokailutila, jossa on ruokapöytä, sekä baari ja neljä jakkaraa. Kaikkialla on upea parkettilattia. Täyden palvelun keittiössä on jääkaappi / pakastin, sähköliesi, mikroaaltouuni, leivänpaahdinuuni ja kahvinkeitin. Tarjolla on monia ruokakomeroa. Makuuhuoneessa on queen-size-vuode muodoltaan sopivalla vaahtopatjalla. Vierashuoneessa on kerrossänky, jossa on kaksinkertainen patja pohjassa ja kaksoset ylhäällä. Siellä on aurinkoinen patio, samoin kuin suuri kuisti rentoutumiseesi. Siellä on paljon kirjoja, sekä lapsille että aikuisille, samoin kuin erilaisia ?? pelejä.

Kodissa on sekä ilmastointi että lämmitys mukavuutesi vuoksi, sekä iso puuhella.

Talossa on kolme liukuvaa lasiovea, jotka avautuvat kuistilla, josta näkyy lampi. Metsän läpi on yli kilometrin polku retkeily nautintoa varten. Villieläimiä on runsaasti koko kiinteistössä, mukaan lukien villit kalkkunat, haukat, hirvieläimet ja puput. Patio on kaasugrilli. Lisäksi lammen vieressä on palorengas, jotta voit tehdä aitoja S'more'ja tai katsella tähtiä. 20 mailin säteellä sijaitseviin nähtävyyksiin kuuluvat ravintolat, viinitilat, vanhentaminen, luolat, vaellus ja koskenlasku. We'll be back!
This was our 2nd time staying here. We bring our dogs to run free and go hiking on the trails. The wood burning stove is an added bonus during the winter. We enjoy the quiet of nature and snuggling with the pups on the big couch playing games! We will be back a 3rd time!

A Wonderful Retreat
We had an amazing time! It was a wonderful quiet get away. Just what we needed to recharge. The property was wonderful, great trails in the woods, coffee in the morning on the deck watching the fog rise off the water, yoga on the dock & wine/bourbon on the deck in the evening. We're already planning our trip back in the spring. And what a wonderful place for the dogs. I've stayed at a lot or VRBO's & haven't had one as well stocked as this one or as welcoming for the pups. The kitchen had so many extras, as did the bathroom. They also provided extras for the pups too. One thing I would suggest adding would be a row of hooks (6-8) in the bathroom to hang towels on to dry or clothes/robes. As there is only one towel rack which is good for maybe 2 towels. There was also an abundance of books, puzzles, & games for rainy days which we took advantage of as our 1st day there it rained all day. There is a very large wood stove with an ample supply of wood (on the deck). We didn't get to use it as it was to warm but can imagine how nice it would be. I just can't say enough of how much we enjoyed our time there. The only other thing I would recommend is a storage cabinet at the front of the deck or on the side so that all of the life jackets, rods, oars, etc... could be stored & not take up half the deck. This way the whole deck can be used, & it doesn't impede the view from inside. It was an amazing getaway. But a later check out would be great as we could enjoy a little more time.

Peaceful and great fun for a family
Beautiful land, great home, and all the things to entertain a family with two young boys. The trails on the property are wonderful, we brought bird, plant and animal track guides to identify all the things we found on nature hikes. Our boys are expert fishermen after spending every day on the dock and paddling in the canoe. You can watch everything from the covered front porch. Owner provided firewood for the firepit and was very helpful!

Amazing
This place was everything I expected plus some. The house is perfect. The full wall of glass in the living room overlooking the yard and pond is beautiful. Things not included on the listing: a hammock by the pond, a huge inflatable island for the pond, a couple fishing poles... The pond is the clearest I've ever seen. The kitchen is one of the best stocked I've seen at a rental. This place is just amazing. The dog ran and ran. The kids swam, fished, kayaked, explored and played and played. My wife and I fished and kayaked. We had a big bonfire. This is one you don't want to pass up. Very clean. Easy to find. A hidden gem.

Wonderful place for relaxation, fun, we will return
Such a great place for winding down and relaxing. We had beautiful weather, but if I just needed to get away for a few days, it would be wonderful even if it rained the whole time. We had the lake/pond to ourselves and, although we used the raft, most of the time we spent sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the dock, which has both sun and shade at times. The house is amazingly well-stocked, but if you need something, Owensville is just 10 minutes away. We went to the Owensville farmers market and the Coolcowcheese farm (about 15-20 away). Wifi is excellent in house, lots of games, puzzles, national geographic books, big TV. My friend was surprised that, due to how dog-friendly the place was (including toys), she didn't have some allergy issues, but it was super clean and airy. There is a weird little washer/dryer unit that we used but could never really figure out how to dry without washing. :) There are a couple of things different from the photos--patio grill, chairs on dock, big raft--so message the hostess with specific questions. Amy was super responsive. The hosts have a house across the lake, and (we think) we heard them one day but never saw them. There is a trail behind the house that takes you over a bridge and the berm/dam, and my friend did it but she came back with a bunch of seed ticks on her legs, lol, so if you go hiking, apply bug spray! Oddly, no mosquitoes bothered us when we sat on the porch at night. Wonderful getaway, will definitely return!

Perfect Little Hideaway
We are a family that loves being outside. We were looking for a little place we could just relax and enjoy some family time without have to go find entertainment elsewhere. This was the perfect place. The fishing pond was amazing. We could not keep the kids and dog out of the water. Between swimming and kayaking we spent most of our time on the pond. The house was the perfect size and space to escape when it got hot. Kitchen had everything you need for all your cooking needs! The kids are already asking when we can go back…and we will be back!

Lovely Getaway
This is the perfect, relaxing getaway for my sister and me and our dogs. The house is cozy and the property is beautiful. We enjoyed kayaking but also spent most of our time just sitting on the dock feeding the turtles. The dogs loved having free roaming privileges. I'm sure there are plenty of activities nearby, but we were happy to just hang at the property. We will be back.

Peaceful and Well Kept!
This is the 3rd time we have stayed here, and the only rental we have ever stayed at more than once. It is a wonderful get away if you want somewhere secluded and quiet with a lake. My husband and kids really enjoy the kayaks and fishing. I enjoy that I get to see them enjoying it from the living room!

Great Weekend Getaway
The property was great. Access to a nice sized little lake with a canoe, two kayaks, fire pit, and great hiking trails on property. It rained a lot when we were down there which had an effect on the well water so make sure to bring pretty of bottled water to drink just in case.

Perfect Location
The only negative was the condition of the kitchen. Dirty dishes & cookware in the cabinets, previous guest's leftovers in the fridge & cabinets, inc. half used soda, milk, & excessive condiments. All of which was worked around. Everything else, absolutely everything, about the property and all that there was to do was so wonderful, 5 stars are not enough. Even my dog was living his best life every day at this fantastic property!

Fall Break
My wife and I along with our nearly one year old Goldador had a wonderful midweek visit. Very chill atmosphere and marvelous property. Enjoyed lazily fishing on the dock for catfish with good success. Dog had plenty of room do run off puppy energy. The living room/dining area is really large for lounging in. Nice fridge and stove though the dishwasher could use a little love. We hand wash everything since it’s just the two of us. The dock needs a little repair but I’m sure the owners will get to that soon. Hope to come back in the late spring with another couple who we know would love it also. Great communication with the owners, Amy and Rick.

Very nice place
Everything was good and we enjoyed our stay. Only suggestion would be that the deck area could have been cleaner and I actually found windex and cleaned the glass sliding doors. Made the lake view so much nicer. Otherwise cabin was clean and the area very peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely rent again!

Grandma's house without Grandma!
We could not wait for this trip! A small house in the middle of nowhere off a dirt road. Most times when we go somewhere we look for places to go to keep busy. This time we went to disconnect and relax. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The place was clean and tidy! Loved the slate entry and the wood floors! The galley kitchen had new appliances and was fully stocked with pans and dishes. Like most VRBO's there were spices, ketchup mustard, mayo and salt and pepper. The closets had all kinds of blankets pillows and one had several box fans. Perfect for those so quiet its eerie nights! I need a fan to sleep. The porch was always a peaceful retreat. We didn't see ANY animals at all it was the strangest thing i have ever experienced! We did have a friendly squirrel run across the porch once. It was so quiet out there we found ourselves whispering to each other as we sat on the porch. The furniture out there was not comfortable and should maybe be updated However the atmosphere made up for the downfall! The pond should really be called a lake it was huge clean and beautiful!
