Clean, had nice view but the power lines are a distraction. Had to buy a reading lamp for living room. Well stocked kitchen. Beds were comfortable and clean. Great location by lovers point. Easy access to the bike trail, did 10 mile 4 times a week

Lover's Point Mermaid Cottage is a must stay!
Lover's Point Mermaid Cottage is in a great location and very accessible to shops and restaurants. The property was well-equipped and very comfortable. Would highly recommend staying at this location.

Little gem by the sea
We had a wonderful time at this little house. The views from the second floor were amazing. My 4 year old love using the binoculars to look at boats on the water. It was very clean and comfortable. I don’t think the pictures do it justice. The house had everything you would need. It even had a drawer full of sand toys for the beach. The only negative we found was that the lighting in the house is very harsh. I think the lights must be older LEDs or something. We spent most nights with the lights off in the living room. It felt a little like we were sitting under stadium lights.

Great Location and Comfortable Cottage
We really enjoyed our stay at Lover's Point. The house was perfect for our 5 person family. The 2 full baths were great for getting everyone out the door (I have 2 daughters). The proximity to Pacific Grove and Monterey Bay is really nice, I jogged/walked to Monterey Bay aquarium every morning on shoreline jogging/biking trail. We are looking forward to coming back in the future. Thank you!

great location
very clean, great location, only down side was having to deal with the stairs , bedrooms downstairs everything including 2nd bathroom were upstairs, not a deal breaker but could be for elderly or those with knee issues .Other then that would stay there again

Cute home with great views of water
We really enjoyed our stay. The home is very clean and loved the living room and kitchen being on the second floor so we had views of the ocean over the houses in front of us. It is really decorated beach and has plenty of dishes and pans if you wish to cook at home instead of eating out. The bathrrooms are very nice, the only drawback being one was on the second floor. We would have enjoyed an outdoor grill, perhaps on the back patio?

Fantastic place to stay!
The location was fabulous with great accomodations. It had everything one could ask for. We only had one vehicle, so parking was not an issue. I would highly reccommend this rental for anyone looking to get away and enjoy the oceans marinelife, (lots of otters, seals, and whales)!

Quiet place, uncomfortable seating
It's on a quiet street very close to the shore. The beds were good. However, the seating in the common room was very uncomfortable and in part broken. The fold-down couch was made of heavy wood so it was hard to manipulate. It was also broken. I discovered after the first uncomfortable night that there were several pieces of wood on the floor from the break. They sent someone out to fix it, but it still was dangerous to use. Sharp screws stuck out where the repair was done and I pinched my fingers pretty severely while trying to fold it down to use as a bed. Since the only two options were to be in the common room or to be in a small bedroom, the lack of comfortable seating in the common room was a severe shortcoming and made our trip less enjoyable.

Excellently location.
We were with walking distance to lovers point! Close to everything in Pacific Grove . Went to the resultant Pasion fish ! One of the best places I have ever eatin at. Great view great food great location!

Perfect place for walking along the coast
This is the ideal location for families who want to explore Monterery, Carmel and the rest of this amazing part of the world. Ideal because it is the perfect walking distance north to the aquarium and south to the incredible views. Easy parking in front of property means you can leave your car. We only drove once during our 4-day visit and that was for the spectacular 17-mile drive. The home itself is cozy and well-equipped. Easy to drop-into and feel right at home. Quiet and tidy. Joy to look at out at the ocean and use the telescope to see the many otters and seals. The two aquarium passes are a great bonus, as it saves you $100/day because you can go multiple times. Highly recommend taking the passes at least once to the aquarium.

We loved this Mermaid home! Beautifully decorated and all the amenities anyone could ask for! Even included 2 passes to the Monterey Bay Aquarium! Stunning views of the ocean and perfect location! A very comfortable property, well equiped and clean
This was a perfect base for our Jazz Festival weekend. The close proximity to the bay and the fairgrounds combined with near perfect weather is exactly what we needed. The only thing less than perfect was we did not see the aquarium passes until we were checking out of the house and one couple ended up paying for entrance. Other properties we've stayed at left them and instructions for care and use of the property on a counter that was easily seen. We will look to stay there in the future.

Comfy and close to all the good things in Monterey
Small house close to the walking trails and swimming and biking and of course - the Aquarium! Cozy and clean with 1 parking spot right in front. Neighbors are kind and quiet. Lots of great restaurants!

We visited the house during a vacation with a senior and child. It was a great location and we very much appreciated the aquarium passes. We found the seating in the living and dining area to be challenging- with only seating for 3 in living room and dining chair were fold up chairs. Overall, a great house!!

The perfect little house
What a wonderful little house just a block away from Lovers Point. The house was perfect for our time in Monterey. Upstairs you could see the ocean and you got the perfect breeze with the windows open. Everything is in walking distance- beaches, kayak/bicycle rentals, and ocean view restaurants. We loved our visit to The Monterey Bay Aquarium and were able to use 2 guest passes, compliments of the owner. We would love to go back and will definitely look into using The Mermaid House again.

Fantastic
This home is sparkling clean and had everything we needed. We love the location-one block to Pacific Grove's walking/running trail. We walked to and ate at the Beach House and it was delicious! We'll definitely be back.

Clean quiet great location
Lovely small house located just across the street from the spectacular central coast beach. In this case being just across the street is a plus because it affords you much more,privacy and quiet. This house has everything from a well stocked kitchen to Aquarium passes.

Cute and cozy.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Mermaid cottage. We loved the location! The cottage is close to a little beach and a great recreational trail, which can lead you to Cannery Row & the Old Fisherman's Wharf or the lighthouse depending on which direction you chose to go. The cottage itself was clean, cozy and cute. We loved all of the mermaid themed decor. We did experience an issue with the previous renters, but Sean and Zorka, the property managers, took really good care of us. They were accommodating, professional, and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Great house and location
This was the perfect house for our plans in Monterey. The location could not have been better for the view, the beach access and for getting to Monterey. They really hit it on the nail for our stay, free passes for the aquarium and beach toys for my granddaughter. If I ever go out there again I know where I'll go.
