"15 min door to door from the JO village"
I'm renting my 3 rooms 67 m2 apartment would be fully renovated high standing in spring 2024.
The picture and description below are how is it currently- before renovation - for December 2023- January 2024 - in its original 1965 condition. It has very strong 60s/70s vibes in a classic Haussman Parisian building. In the midst of a very lively colorful and exotic neighborhood of little India Paris below la chapelle and above Gare du Nord, you’ll travel in time and atmosphere. Lot of things like the paint need to be refreshed. All the street-facing windows have double glazing so it is very quiet and peaceful inside.
Please do note and understand that the apartment is currently in its original vintage condition and plenty of renovation needs to be done. So do not expect something perfect.
The kitchen is equipped with 4 burners, double sink, a kettle, a bialetti, ( the Italian coffee maker), a large fridge and freeze, plates, bols, pans, a bottle opener and glasses, all the basics to prepare a small meal, breakfast and snacks.
Both bedrooms are equipped with double bed:
The blue room has a 70s rounded bed 240 cm wide. So you will be very much at ease in it.
The second yellow bedroom has an antique Art Deco golden swan bed 130/200 cm.
The bathroom is equipped with a tub.
The apartment is located on the 1st floor (2nd for Americans) and the building is equipped with an elevator which is convenient for luggage.
Regarding the building safety:
Two building secured doors by code and intercom with camera. the apartment door is a security door also.
The neighborhood:
The immediate neighborhood called Little India is an exotic enclave in Paris. The buildings are classical elegant Haussmann style, all the shops and restaurants near by are Indian which gives a very lively, colorful and cute Bollywood vibe to this part of town. It feels very festive and you ll eat delicious and inexpensive exotic dishes.
On a pratical side, the apartment is close to gare du Nord (6 min on foot) which makes it very convenient for anyone arriving by train, Eurostar or the rer B train from the airport.
The location of the rive droite East side of town isn't touristic and where most people live without being just residential. So it is where you want to stay if you want to discover the real Parisian experience besides the Louvre, Eiffel Tower and all the classics. It has a strong and real identity.
-15 min door to door from the JO village-
For those who are here for a business trip or sport event, the apartment location is direct thought gare du nord with RER B to "Parc des expositions Paris nord Villepinte" and Saint Denis and "Parc des Princes".
It is 9 minutes on foot from the canal Saint Martin, an upcoming part of town where a lot of young people like to gather and party. Full of cute restaurants and bars.
One of the most beautiful parks of Paris, Les buttes Chaumont is 14 min on subway from Louis Blanc Station.
The closest subway station are La chapelle line 2, then Louis Blanc line 7, and Gare du Nord for lines 5, 4, rer B,D,E and the Eurostar parisian station.
Also bus 39.
Very convenient coming from both airport with public transportation.
It is central in the city, easy to get uber and taxi.
I recommend a list to my guests of several taxi app to navigate easily.
